Fantastic local bakery with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Went for cheesecake after completing the half marathon and ended up back the next morning for a ham and cheese croissant! Don't hesitate to visit this bakery, you won't be disappointed ?

Incredible pastries and desserts with some really unique flavors. Try the malted mocha coffee while you're there. It's fantastic!

Superb independent bakery with excellent food. Healthy wholesome and tasty. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert and buy some fresh bread to take home.

Fantastic tasty sandwich! The place is nicely decorated. The skylights are great and made for a sort of resort vibe

What I had was very good, but the prices are a bit steep
Edit: I had to come back and edit my review after my breakfast there this morning. I got the burrito and a scone. I drank water. With tax and only 15% tip it came to just over $26. This is beyond steep. I can get more food than that, better service, and a quieter atmosphere for less elsewhere. So disappointing.

I have been to most of the ‘fancy’ restaurants in KC and Heirloom’s Wednesday dinners are by far the best food I have had in KC. Its imaginative yet extremely tasty, cohensive, and beautiful. They change their menu every week and every single time its better than before!

My favorite bakery in the world. I have traveled all over and just love this place. I have been going since the day they opened. The owners were always nice people. Made everyone feel welcome. I moved from the area out of town. But when I am in Kansas City on business I always stop here.

Great place for freshly made pastries, food & hand crafted drinks. Local ingredients & vegan options are a plus! They have an option to host an event or office meeting if needed. It’s a small quaint space that fills up fast, so bring your patience with your appetite!

Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options are available

Parking: Small parking lot, mostly street parking available

It was okay. Not much variety of food or ease of service. They don't give you flatware or napkins when they bring your food, it's self service for that. Very small parking area. It's very uncomfortable setting for a group to eat together. Fine if one or two people.

Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to pork and beef so food cross contamination was prevalent with my eggs. No vegetable options. I asked and they said i can order a salad. I just wanted eggs and veggies. Not offered.

I would highly recommend checking this place out.A small menu with a good variety of choices.Had the mushroom toast and hibiscus limeade tea. One of the best mushroom dishes I have ever eaten, the tea was flavorful and refreshing.Honey oats desert was fire, bought four to take home.Staff was awesome.

This was my first time here, so I tried both the breakfast special--an egg and bacon sandwich on a fluffy biscuit-- and bakery treats, which included the cherry pop tart and carmel toffee cookie, along with coffee.CONS:* tight, small parking lot--I was lucky to find a spot* high prices--I paid $24 for my sandwich, cookie, pop tart, and plain, brewed coffee (but maybe that's because the items were made in-house and higher quality than factory made?)* very slow to serve my food and then without all I ordered; however, this was remedied quickly and upon asking the status of my order, the employee kindly checked on it for me and assured me the delay was just because of a large order ahead of mine* good food-- this would be a pro if the prices hadn't been so high; I expected great. However, portions were hearty, and the sandwich was hot, fresh, and "homemade", so I'm definitely going to return to try more in the future.* When I return, it will likely be for takeout. Although I enjoy many kinds of music, this music was not enjoyable at all when I'm trying to relax over lunch. It was so loud, dissonant, and unpleasant that I probably won't want to sit there again. Why restaurants think this is what people want outside of bars is beyond me. Maybe they don't want people to relax?PROS:*free coffee refills-- not the best I've had but a BIG perk* friendly service--I engaged with several employees, and all were friendly.* lots of great variety, making me want to try other things another time* bright and airy dining room-- not exactly comfy but with a cheery atmosphere* an open area behind the counter, where you can watch bakers at work*child-friendly--drawing paper and crayons on a table for the taking*shaded patio for nice weather--small but a nice touch
