I have been eating here for over 25 years. Authentic. While it appears to not be as trendy as some of the more recent additions to the market, I can assure you, this is the best place to eat down here. Little old couple runs it and it is like eating at a little restaurant in Vietnam. Don’t go here if you don’t know what authentic Vietnamese food is.

I’ve been going to this restaurant all my life we started going when I was 5 and now I’m in my late 30’s. My most favorite is the spring rolls and the egg roll bowl. Anytime I’m downtown that’s my go to.

Very horrible service. After waiting for someone to finally come to the front, I was told that they only sold cold egg rolls and that I needed to look at the menu to figure out what I wanted. I walked across the street to a Thai place and was served immediately and the food was wonderful. Do not waste your time here!

I went here on a Sunday evening and it was nice and quiet just how I like it! I got Hu Tieu with seafood! I ordered 2 pho dac biet to go! I like their selection of items on the menu. I’ll be back to try other dishes!

I’ve been coming to this place one a year since i’ve been here in the US and the plants around it has grown over time, the quality of food and fast service has not changed. There has been a lot of pho places around that emerged with nice furniture and decors but this place is as authentic as you can get. They should be awarded for staying in business this long.Parking: Parking during the weekends is harder since there are more people going to the farmer’s market and around.

Price too high and the food is not worth it. Portions are small and the rice is soggy. Bad service overall. And the lady pointed at the bill to commands me for a tip.

I was in the mood for Pho when I entered; but seeing the Tomato and Pineapple Soup on the menu, I decided to try something new and unique. I ordered it with a chicken broth base and egg noodles. The large bowl was served without a plate of add-ins like pho has and the main ingredients were cauliflower and broccoli. A fine bowl of soup, but not enough "wow" for a repeat order. My Cafe Sua Da was served traditional style, not premade like some places are doing. Excellent and bold! A few things stand out that keep Hien Vuong from getting 4 stars: My lady server insisted on telling me how to create and drink my beverage. I found it a bit condescending. There were no condiments on the table after I was served my meal, I had to get up and go to another table to retrieve soy, sriracha, hoison. Not a big deal but my server just watched from another table that she went and sat at, while not offering any assistance or sympathy. When paying my tab at the register, I was given a receipt and told, "write down your tip here". Very awkward, a better system needs to be created. The place is small and in very old City Market stall, yet that is no excuse for it's run down appearance. The space really needs a deep clean and a reset. With 3 other Vietnamese restaurants in the surrounding blocks, I would probably not return here.

The service is great, cozy place with wonderful food. Never have had anything ordered I didn't love! Awesome environment for great conversation and friendly small get togethers.

One of my favorite restaurants in KC. The crab Rangoon is easily the best I’ve ever had!! Everything is very reasonably priced and has generous portions.

Worst pho I've ever had and I lived in rural Texas. Bland broth, rubbery meat, mushy noodles. I recommend avoiding. Service was fine and I hate to be so negative about a family-run place.

Cute little spot! Came in for lunch a couple of days ago. I ordered chicken pho and a lemonade. Lemonade took a while to come out but was so good and fresh. The pho came out soon after and was very bland looking. HOWEVER, I took a sip of the broth and it was very good! Decorated my meal with the toppings they provide and added sauce and it got some color. Overall, good meal. Convenient location. Nothing extraordinary.

The portions are excellent! All the food is hand made and cooked to order.

My family has been coming to this restaurant since I was born. It's a family favorite. The food is always so fresh and delicious. I personally recommend the spring rolls, they are the best I've ever had!
