This was my first poke bowl and it was so good! I had the Healthy Poke Bowl. It was so delicious! I love their signature Poke sauce. The wonderful lady at the counter told me some of the ingredients for the sauce is sesame oil and soy sauce. So if you love the flavor of sesame oil you’ll love this. The sushi in the poke bowl was off the charts. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. It’s a huge serving, so you won’t leave hungry. I also had the tuna sashimi. Loved it! My son had the Kansas City roll and a Spam Musubi. He always gets the Spam Musubi. He said it surprised him how good it was the first time he had it. I’ll be trying it in the future. I will be visiting Hokibar every time I visit KC in the future. I wish I had a picture to share but I was too busy feeding my face. LOL

Food was really good and I would eat it again. It was a bit overpriced for take out food. Took a long time to order and get food. There were only 3 people before me, but the monitor ordering took forever for each person.

We were looking for a place to eat around the Plaza area (Kansas City Country Club Plaza), and then this one came up. The restaurant has a modern design and is also very clean. The food was all so fresh and delicious. It took the kids forever to order (lots of options), and they both really enjoyed the California Roll and the Lion King Roll. We also really enjoyed the Hoki and Bulgogi Bowls. If you don't like too many toppings, then you can choose just Bulgogi as it still comes with a decent amount of rice and meat. Highly recommend the Ninja Fruit Roll - so yummy and yet super CREATIVE!!!!! I will definitely come back again when I am back in town next time. I highly recommend this place If you are looking a great place to eat with some variety!

Ordered takeout and there is no vegetarian option in the proteins. For some reason tofu is listed in “toppings”. The app would not let me pass without choosing a protein so I chose chicken put a note asking plz package separately and it was not seen/ignored. I had to pick lots of little chicken bits out of my bowl. Despite the inconvenience the bowl was delicious and once I got all the meat out every bite was fabulous.Vegetarian options: Probably best to order on the phone or in-person if you want a vegetarian bowl.
