So I ordered a west Indian Caribbean soup and not a single west Indian Caribbean vegetable was in it! No yam. No yuca. No Cho Cho. No dasheen. Just potatoes and carrots.... .that's NOT a Jamaican soup. beef patties were cold. Don't be fooled. It's not a REAL Jamaican place! They're Over-priced and underwhelming.

This was my first try and it was yummy- from their homemade ginger beer to the jerk wings. The young gentleman at the front was very nice and patient with me and all of my questions.
The food was a little oily and I’m not too familiar with plantains but I thought the fried plantains would be crispier.
The area is small but it was still comfy for me to eat- I went by myself.

Would have rated the food higher if there wasn’t so much visible hair on the chicken ?? grossed me out, I couldn’t finish. The flavor of the jerk was really good tho and the cabbage was flavorful.
First time trying jerk chicken and it was amazing!!! I also ordered the oxtails and they were delicious. Excellent costumer service and I didn’t have to wait a long time. I will definitely be back!

I’d like to first say that I’ve had a lot of of the other Jamaican food and restaurants in Kansas City and they’re great. They taste good but by far this has to be one of my favorite Jamaican spots in Kansas City when people say they’ve never had jerk chicken. This is where I take them to trythe great flavor and enjoy a fiesta and ginger beer

I ordered the brown stew chicken with a pineapple soda…absolutely fantastic. The food was still hot everything tasted amazing I ate the whole plate. The only thing I would complain about was the aftermath. I got super woozy and lightheaded and started to get a slight headache. I don’t smoke or drink so I thought it was maybe bc I was laying down after I ate and suddenly got up but even after a few minutes passed I was still feeling groggy and weird for another hour or so. Although the food was great I probably won’t be back due to the weird experience afterwards.
