I've been looking for a favorite Mexican restaurant since moving to Kansas City and think I've found it with Ixtapa. It looks unassuming from the outside but was excellent, will come again.

Ixtapa is a must-try! The chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, and the steak tacos were absolutely amazing. The Queso Fundido was also a standout—rich and delicious. What really sets Ixtapa apart is how unique the food is compared to other Mexican restaurants. If you’re looking for a fresh, authentic experience and are in the area, definitely check it out!

The lunch menu was Tex mex and not authentic.
Everything about this place is amazing. The food is delicious and unique it’s a one of a kind experience. Close to the airport so if you’re dashing in and out, you can stop and have a meal before your flight. I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ve been going there for years and never been disappointed. Five stars all the way for this amazing group of restaurant professionals.

This is not the standard tacos restaurant you can find anywhere else, but a gourmet restaurant, in par with French restaurant. Not expensive, great food, do ask for the owner's advise, you won't regret it!

I never had food quite as good as here. The beans were amazing, the rice was flavorful, and the staff were very friendly! My only regret is I couldn't tip more.
