Wanted Mexican food and learned they do taco Mondays but they have lunch specials 2-4pm. Wasn't disappointed. Good rice and season meat in the chicken enchilada and the beef taco. Server rand told me a tequila recommendation for a tequila sunrise and Una Familia brand definitely a good drink

My husband and I have been coming to Jalepenos once a week for over two years. I'm sad to say we will be taking a break from our dear Jalepepe (as we endearingly call it) due to some bad experiences we've had over the past few visits.

The service is generally pretty terrible. All the waiters are curt and rushed. Once our food is delivered, we never get checked on until they bring us our check. A few weeks ago our waiter seemed intoxicated. We usually don't mind the bad service because we love the comfort food.

This evening my tacos tacos tacos meal was cold, the beef was tasteless and rubbery, and the beans tasted sour. Same with my husbands meal. I've had a few off meals at Jalepenos and have written it off as a bad night. But this was a REALLY off night. For a place that is always busy, I'm surprised to be served cold and stale tasting food.

We usually spend over $50 a visit. Now it's not worth the risk. Who wants to waste money on terrible service AND food?

Great place for families! Jalapeño’s is unpretentious, which is very refreshing in a time where every restaurant is trying to be edgy and do something unique. You will not be completely blown away by this place, but you will get good-enough food in a family-friendly atmosphere. You can’t really tell whether servers are customers or employees because they’re so casually dressed, but that doesn’t bother us at all because they’re nice/accommodating to kids, and that cannot be said of many restaurants these days.
