Hands down my favorite place to get sushi in KC! I've visited twice and both experiences were amazing. The owner is very attentive and truly made us feel welcomed. The first time we ate here, he was about to close but he lets us Dine in and even engaged in a conversation with us with Hot Sake on the house. A year later we went back and he let us try his special jalapeno sauce that he makes for his family. Not only did we have good food but we felt taken care of both times. I will defiantly return every time I get the chance to visit beautiful Kansas.

Atmosphere is not the draw, it's the food.

Small quaint place that is easy to miss and not the easiest to find. The decor needs some updating but the service is quick and friendly. I had a nice glass of wine on happy hour (5-7p T-F), pork dumplings, and chirashi bowl. The dumplings were extra crispy. While the fish was a good portion size it could've been fresher and colder. Not memorable.

Difficult parking. Shrimp roll was um… not good. Not fresh tasting. Not sure how it has such good ratings!?!We googled it and chose it based on ratings. We chose poorly. Parking is a challenge. Food not worth the cost or wait.

Food was amazing, waitress and cook were so welcoming, and environment was cozy. Bathroom was small but very clean. Went during happy hour to grab half off sake and cheap very delicious appetizers. Need to get crab ragoon. Sashimi combo and salmon poke melted in my mouth, tasted heavenly. Octopus was a bit harder to chew; although I have Braces, it may still not be the best option for anyone with sensitive gums. They would benefit from better promoting their store from the outside. Was not even sure if I was entering the correct entrance. Sign needs to be much larger with more eye-grabbing attraction from the outside.

Don’t let the front of the building discourage you from trying the sushi. This place has really good sushi, not your typical bar atmosphere but we trade atmosphere for good sushi. Good service, the place is small so make sure to either have a reservation or stop by when they are slow. Parking is a bit confusing so not sure if we parked on the right place, Overall great place, will be coming back.

Easily the best sushi in KC. The fish is always fresh and it’s one of the few places around here where the sashimi is consistently high quality and delicious. Some of our favorite rolls are the Arrowhead and Mango Tango but I don’t think we’ve met a roll we didn’t like.

Some of the best sushi I've had in a long time. The salmon and Albacore were both top notch and all the sides were great as well. I will be returning if I'm in town.

5 star quality sushi!! We went at 8pm on a Friday and had no problem getting a table.I especially enjoyed the Spicy Cajun Roll. The crab rangoons are excellent. My favorite dish was the vegetable tempura. So crispy and flavorful. Mmmmm!!!Parking can be a bit tricky, so just park at the Trolley Track Trail and walk over.

Staff was incredibly friendly. This is not a large space, but it's a comfortable space. We sat at the bar and the chef was very patient with my questions and I enjoyed learning about the different rolls he was creating. We were pleasantly surprised to find that happy hour lasted until 7:00 and included discounts on beer, wine, appetizers and some rolls. Hubby has put this place on equal footing with our favorite Sushi Uni, but so much closer to our home. The fish was incredibly fresh and the pieces were a nice size. The house salad and miso soup that came with hubby's dinner were quality dishes and were not served merely as an afterthought, which was very much appreciated. I tried the Sexy Mama roll and loved the dipping sauce (yuzu ponzu sauce) that he served with it. It gave the roll the perfect amount of heat with a unique flavor twist. I look forward to returning and trying some new items and spending more time watching the chef create more wonderful looking rolls!

Y'all, I love this place! I've been to many sushi restaurants around KC and I had a favorite back in my hometown in Lenexa, but this one takes the cake and beats it! I have been loyal for over a year and they recognize me! Cannot beat their Happy Hour from 5-7PM! They are amazing and deserve all the praise! Super friendly and homey! Feels like you're in Japan! ???
