Baba Ganouj, Hummus , Lentil Soup with summak, and Falafel piping hot and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The mixed grill took a while (so order early) but I know nothing was reheated. Everything cooked there and then.
The chicken was juicy , flavorful snd succulent . The lamb chops finger the licking good.
the beef sheesh kebab soft and juicy and not dry so the fat meat content was on spot.
The only negative perhaps was the sheesh kebab was a bit salty 🧂 for my palate.

I visited Kari's on 39th today. I generally order water as my drink of choice but they had medicinally, uniquely flavored lemonades! I started with the hibiscus lemonade and it was so good, I had to order the mint lemonade as well. I also had lentil soup for an appetizer, and hands down, it was the best lentil soup I have ever eaten, even mine! Our server told us it is the owner’s mother recipe. For my meal I had the platter which included lamb chops, chicken, and a kabob made with beef, lamb and a ton of tongue tantalizing spices. I will definitely be back!

Stellar food and vibes. I would say food and atmosphere make it the best Mediterranean/halal food on 39th. Best Baklava I have had in town, huge portion very good honey. Fantastic Turkish coffee that was piping hot and perfectly balanced. Attentive and kind service. I had a Gyro pita sandwich, pita was fluffy, grilled and seasoned. Gyro was really good, not too dry and spiced nicely. Dolmas were the cold olive oil style and were perfect. The hot sauce was really delicious and homemade. Rosewater lemonade was very very good, not too sweet.

The food is amazing! We ordered the appetizer combo and the baba ghanoush is sooo good! I had the chicken shish tawook, it was incredible! The sauces are all amazing.

Absolutely delicious! Will be back - SOON. Our party got the shawarma chicken wrap, gyro plate, lamb chops, and mixed appetizer and everyone loved their food.
Where has this been all my life?! We had the lentil soup, Greek salad, gyro wrap and shawarma wrap. All were amazing. The garlic sauce is strong and perfect, I will enjoy the lingering flavor for as long as I can.
OMG!!! Came to try something new, and everything we had was incredibly tasty!!! Our server said they've been open for 2 years this Sept, and I highly recommend visiting so they stay open for a long time. Two people can split the Mixed Grill plate, and it is the perfect amount for a first visit. We will be back

Kari's on 39th is an absolute gem in Kansas City! We ordered the mixed grilled platter, and every bite was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The sides were fresh and complemented the meal beautifully. The lemonade drinks were refreshing and the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was top-notch. We left completely satisfied and can't wait to return. Highly recommend Kari's to anyone looking for a great dining experience in KC!
