This place was awesome! Wanted fish and chips, so we figured we would give it a shot at lunch time on Wednesday. Slam dunk service, food, and speed. Will be back.

We were looking for a bite to eat before a show on Sunday, we arrived at 5pm and it took 20 min just to get a server to stop by the table, despite the restaurant being pretty empty. The food came quick once we were able to order, but there was music blasting inside which made it hard to talk. This restaurant is in Power and Light, so we expected some of what we got, but it was disappointing.

Just moved to KC and was excited to find a “pub”. I’ve given this place a try multiple times, and every time, the bartenders have horrible attitudes and seem annoyed to even be dealing with you. It’s a busy area, I get it, but it comes with the territory. There are much better pubs in the area, with much more reasonable prices.

We're here for the Big 12 tournament. We expected the usual delays with a huge crowd. But this crew was AMAZING!! Top notch service, food and drinks. Definitely our Power and Light favorites!!

I'm normally really nice on reviews but this place was awful! Our waitress was so bad I ordered drinks from the bar we never got waters. Don't waste your money! Or just sit at the bar and get drinks. The hamburger had no flavor. My son even had it and said fast food was better.

We went in on a Saturday night and they were packed, but we were able to get seated in about 10 minutes after sipping a Boulevard after walking up to the crowded bar and getting immediately served. So far , so good. The service from our waiter carried on the positive vibe. Efficient and jovial!+ My wife ordered the Shepards pie and I had the Corned Beef Burnt Ends over cheesy tots. The Burnt Ends were unique and excellent, I'd probably order it as a sandwich next time - the tots with cheese and sour cream were not that appealing. My wife loved her Shepherd's Pie and the 2 small bites that I sampled were way better than what my she passes off as Shepherd's Pie at home - please do not repeat that. With the atmosphere harkening back to a traditional Irish pub with lots of dark wood, cool light fixtures and a huge bar - it's easy to forget that you are in an artificial entertainment district - until you look around at the crowd. A solid 4 stars for keeping all the moving parts moving in the right direction in a large boisterous crowd.

Good environment and scene. Unfortunately, the good waitresses and waiters are limited. We attended multiple Chiefs playoffs games. Last experience of SB was very different and previous. Young man could not keep up, dropped off food that was not ours, charged us for them, very slow with attitude, and did not keep up with who ordered what. The manager, Erica, is always awesome. However, whoevers idea it was to charge 20% gratuity + a 22% entertainment fee + $20 cover needs to consider the business they will lose. Please ask if you decide you go here about "additional fees."

I had the corned beef sliders. Oh my. Tender meat, amazing slaw, the sauce was delicious. Nice tangy pickle on top. The pub is beautiful inside and the bar staff very personable. Recommend!

Get the Sheppards pie. Listen. Trust me. I'm still sitting here eating as I write this. And every bite is as savory as the first. Googled the rent for this city after I took one bite because I can't imagine going home and never eating here again.Edit: service and atmosphere were top notch. But the Sheppards pie is what made me post this review.

Writing this review hoping for improvement. Most of the time the place is dead but it can ironically be hard to get service. Place is sometimes closed early or the menu is limited. Used to love coming here when we moved downtown a few months ago but this place isn't going to last I'm afraid. It is way too expensive for what it is, which is why Johnny's is always busy. Staff sometimes almost seem to not want customers around, hope things turn around, it's a wonderful building with a great atmosphere.Added - appreciate the reply, not entirely sure of the date but was a weekend night around 9:00PM. We did go during the Chief's playoff win over the Ravens and had a fantastic time, the place was packed and service was terrific. Only recommendation I would make would be better weekday specials to bring people in the door. Wish the best for the place, we like the staff and would love to come more regularly!
