I had mixed feelings about my recent visit to this Korean restaurant. On the positive side, the kimchi jjigae was fantastic—rich, spicy, and full of depth. It had the perfect amount of heat and was clearly made with care. Easily one of the best kimchi stews I’ve had in a while.
However, I was really disappointed with the L.A. galbi (short ribs). For a dish priced at $30, I expected quality meat. Instead, the meat was tough, lacked flavor, and didn’t seem fresh. It felt like the kitchen didn’t put nearly the same effort into this dish as others on the menu, which made the price point feel unfair and frustrating.
Overall, this spot has potential, especially if you’re craving good stews like kimchi jjigae. But I wouldn’t recommend the short ribs, and I hope the restaurant reevaluates the pricing or quality of that particular dish moving forward.

The food was very good and it came out quickly. The service however was not good. We waited for almost 15 minutes at the front before anyone spoke to us (there were also two other couples waiting). The staff seemed disinterested in being there and were moving at a snail’s pace. Service at the table was also subpar, having to wait to be greeted again and being slow on drinks. We almost walked out because of the service, which I’ve never thought about doing before. In the end the food made up for the service, but I doubt I’ll ever go back.

We didn't discover this gem until our final night during our week long stay. WOW!! The food was amazing. We tried 4 appetizers and 3 entrees without disappointment!!! We return soon!!

Food was great but the service was EXTREMELY slow. We had to track down the server many times to get items like drinks that were ordered 20 minutes prior. A few times we just went to the bar and had to get the ourselves.

I've been happy with the dine-in experience when I've gone in. Tonight's takeout order was a disaster.
I ordered the dry rub Korean fried chicken and tteokbokki with tofu. The chicken wings are much smaller and lower quality (broken bones galore) than I'm used to seeing from here.
The tteokbokki was horrifically skimpy on the actual tteokbokki. I counted five pieces total in the big ole Styrofoam box. And there was this wadded up piece of waxed paper mixed in that I thought was weird unpalatable cabbage. On closer inspection I've been chewing on and eating a wad of waxed paper. Horrifying.
I don't know if it's shrinkflation or the chef was having the lousiest day ever but I regret wasting every cent of the $29 I spent on this order. If this is the new standard for this restaurant I can't in good conscience order from here again.

We truly enjoyed ourselves at Kobi Q. Our waiter Tucker was outstanding! We ordered dumpings, wings, pickles, Korean Beef and the Bibimbap. The food was hot and flavorful. I can’t wait to come back! Thanks again Tucker for making our first experience there a memorable one.

Showed up Friday at 6:50pm. we did tell our waiter that we were waiting on 3 more people that showed up 5-10 min later max. yet we left at 8:50pm..... ordered apps which took forever, ordered the Tonkatsu Cutlet and was bland as bland could get. came our cold (after waiting for over 45 min. i get it we have a largeish group but 45 min for stuff that could be prepped before service. is a bit much. Plus. came with very tiny sauce (i ran out about 25% into my cutlet) and came with little rice and slaw.... you think you $20 bucks. could get a little better portion. our group had to go get drinks at the bar multiple times due to our waiter not coming and checking on us. once everything got going. he came by 1 time to check..... in 2 or so hours checked 1 time... and when the check came. we told him at the beginning the check arrangements. yet he gave us 1 single check. then looked confused when we told him we were all paying separate. maybe he wanted that auto 18% gratuity. all in all. disappointed.

First of all, we came for the food. But I’ll tell you the ambiance was amazing. Such a beautiful restaurant. Bibimbap was really good. Had the beef, very close to bulgogi but not. The fried chicken wings were amazing. We had both the glazed and Sichuan. I was afraid the sichuan would be too spicy, but it actually had a great flavor! The kimchi stew was really delicious too. If you like miso soup and you’re a fan of kimchi, this is the perfect soup for you! Will definitely be back.
