We ordered shrimp cocktail to start, then wagyu ribeye and twice baked potato. The shrimp cocktail was very fresh. The steak cooked perfectly and yummy. The twice baked potato tasted great as well. We both had two drinks and they were perfect. My only complaint is the food temps. The steak was rather luke warm and the potato not much warmer. Both tasted as though the food had been sitting out for several minutes before service. Maybe put the steak on a warm plate before serving? The shrimp cocktail was good, but was very very cold - like it was pre-prepared and put in the freezer for a while before service. Again, very good food that tasted great, just disappointed with the temperature. Service was great and friendly. It was our anniversary and we were treated to a fresh red rose, and free dessert. The atmosphere is very old school steakhouse vibe. The jazz in the basement is only Thursday thru Sunday so we missed out on that part. There was a piano player playing and he was great. If we're ever back in KC and looking for steak, we will return. Oh, and we split all of this between the two of us and still spent 220.

It was FREEZING. i wore my coat through dinner. Service was great. The scallops were insanely salty, and the risotto was sticky and not creamy. Steak was delicious.

People like to talk about other high end, famous name places but this place is Kansas City. The food is excellent but the cream on top is the location, the history and the ambiance. I've eaten at top tier steakhouses allover the country and this has to be in the top 5. Whether you live here. Or visiting from out of town, this is a must visit location.

We were in Kansas City to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary. Our son-in-law is a huge steakhouse fan and highly recommended Majestic. It did not disappoint! Sid took care of us and spent time discussing the menu and our tastes to ensure a perfect meal. It was amazing and cooked to perfection. We were treated to delicious Crème Brûlée and a beautiful red rose. Perfect evening!

We were there with our daughter and son-in-law and we had a great evening! The service was top class and with humor that is hard to resist. This was the second time we were there and since we are from Sweden and visiting our daughter and son-in-law, we really wanted to have a nice evening with them. Fantastic place with incredibly good service! Unfortunately I don't remember the name of our waiter, but what a guy! Fingertip feeling with everything! The kitchen delivered above our already high expectations! Majestic delivered on every point and we recommend everyone to go there. Both residents and visitors like me and my wife are. So, thank you all for a very nice evening!!

While our server was outstanding, the food was simply average. Cheese tray was very large, filled out with crackers in rows - but only small portions of not-very-interesting cheeses. We could hardly fit the board on the table. Steak points (special) with gnocci was mostly gnocci and not many steak points. Sauce was very rich, but too much flour made it pasty. We will return, and order with caution. For the price on the menu, the steaks should be outstanding.
