The food is really good! It’s an out of the way place but worth the time to check it out. Don’t go if you are looking for some fancy ambience you won’t see it inside or out. Go here if you want good food and good sized portions and good service. I like the chile relleno mine had chunks of pork in it. Different but a nice touch!

This is a great little lunch spot and after work place. Cheeseburgers are awesome! I know it sounds funny at a Mexican place but they are great. Taco Tuesday is a great deal and the Chicken Quesadilla is one of my favs. Good service and great drink specials. Stop in and have a beer or a margarita. They are strong. The only place I know where the owner is always there open until close. Don't forget to stop in for a quick breakfast!

The location on main is definitely different than the one that was on paseo. The paseo location closed awhile back and they obviously took the flavor with it. The enchilada sauce which they were famous for is not the same. It's missing the flavor and consistency the paseo location had. Now it seems there is something in it and there is a real tomato flavor that turned me off. Not into open a can enchilada sauce.. also the refried beans also had a tangy flavor like lime that was added, I hope that's lime..also the location on main has no easy parking to get to the restaurant. It's too bad it's not the same.. I will not be going back.. average mexican food. The portions though are big.

This is not a great place for lunch. It was dirty with an astringent smell. The server was solid, doing her best to work the floor alone during a busy lunch rush.

Found this place by searching for "Best Mexican restaurant Kansas City". Well after having dinner and then breakfast there outs hard to argue! Huge portions at decent prices ans that would be enough as long as the food was decent. It goes way above 'decent'. My wife and I will only return to a place that has really good chips and salsa.... and this place definitely has that! In fact it's some of the best salsa I've had in a long time. Mama Tio's also has outstanding burritos and awesome tacos. The enchiladas are also really really good!
