My boyfriend booked us a reservation for his birthday a little before dinner time, walked in, it was rather empty. The host/server went to sit us on the left side of the restaurant but most of the booths were dirty so he had to redirect us to the opposite side of the restaurant.. no big deal. Then we sit down and we are greeted within 2 minutes, all is going well, then my bf asks for a diet coke and the server completely forgets to bring it to us. 10 minutes go by and he still hasnt come back to ask us if we want food, but I can see him behind the bar and there was only one other couple in the bar area. Finally he comes back, takes our order, but when the food came out, it was quite disappointing. The side of mac and cheese was silly expensive and had no flavor. I got the baby back jerk ribs and the meat didnt fall off the bone like typical ribs. Just overall not a great experience. The outside also looks rather sad and not inviting. Probably wont be visiting again due to the price and service

e went into our dinner having absolutely no expectations, just wanting to try somewhere new. Boy were we surprised, not only was the customer service absolutely amazing (If you are going ask for Sarah) but the food blew us out of the water! Our absolute favorites were the fritters and the shrimp and grits! We also got a chance to talk to Jims the manager/owner and truly made us feel so welcome and like family! They take their customer feedback very seriously which made it much more of an amazing and enjoyable experience! All of the drinks we had were insane! We tried the old fashion and were absolutely SHOCKED that it was rum and not actually whiskey! They truly know what they are doing there! You will not be disappointed! We will be customers for life! As my husband says, stay curious. Came as customers, left as friends

The service was nice. The food just missed the mark. At the price I would not recommend. I had so hoped for more variety in this neighborhood and wish them well.

Fantastic food, superb service, awesome atmosphere! Just plain phenomenal all the way around. Wednesday & Thursday Caribbean pasta specials are the bomb and a great value! Happy Hour specials are outstanding! You won't be disappointed!

First time at this Ethiopian/Caribbean restaurant. Arrived when it opened at 11. Walked into an empty restaurant and sat at the bar for a few minutes until someone came from the back and seated us at a booth. Ordered the oxtail, which had a flavorful yellow curry sauce with potato. The meat wasn't "fall off the bone." It took a lot of work. We also ordered the beef tibs, a spiced stew served with salad. The beef was tough. The simple salad with an oil and vinegar dressing was good. Minimal interaction with the server. No offer of dessert at the end of the meal. Transactional experience.

Went here for Happy Hour on Wednesday. The food was incredible; fresh and delivered to our table quickly. The drinks were consistently made well each round. The atmosphere is very relaxing and clean!

Nice combination of unique flavors and dishes from Ethiopia and the Caribbean. I had the lamb tibs here at the northland location.They were quite good. I had the ribs at the downtown location and they were great.

I went to the new location in Parkville for my birthday and the food was delicious! My husband had the best coconut shrimp curry and I had the lamb and lentils. The flavors are all amazing and a simple salad with greens, red onions and tomatoes was one of the best side salads I’ve ever had. Wonderful service and they have a lovely outdoor courtyard. Will definitely be back!

Amazing rum drinks! Amazing food! We have been 4 times and cannot wait to work our way through the menu. The service is fantastic- family supporting each other and making guests feel welcome. The latest meal included Blue Cloud cocktail and Jerk baby back ribs. Incredible flavors

We throughly enjoyed our first visit to Mesob. We visited their north location. Food was amazing and the service was great. We had the Caribbean fritters, chicken jambalaya, and shrimp tibs. All were excellent. We will be back.
