I wanted to have prime rib for a special occasion dinner. Called the restaurant to make sure it was on the menu. The hostess said it was available anytime except Saturday and Sunday at lunch. Made a reservation. Showed up and was seated. Then the server said prime rib had been discontinued a while back. Kind of ruined my special day.

Went for happy hour and a family birthday and got the chorizo queso dip and some drinks. Select beer choices for happy hour, but the margs are fantastic. Would recommend for happy hour.

Good place in brookside, portion size was a little small and the quality wasn't as good as we hoped. The fried chicken was sparse on flavor. The green beans very al dente. The Reuben was good with true pastrami and not prepackage like you get elsewhere but the fries were very bland. Service was a bit slow.

Just a great place to try! Brookside is fun; the food is great.

Kid-friendliness: Fun kid sippie cups with lids.

Mother’s Day brunch was an awful experience. My lovely party of 8 were separated at two booths, to high to visit next to you. We had reservations that were completely overlooked, told us to wait another 15 minutes, only to be seated apart. A 4 yr old can’t eat $13 in food, which they ran out, no bacon?! Never again will we go for ANY meal, and never choose them for a special occasion . The most disappointing dining experience ever, the 16 yr old hostess was responsible for informing us of the table separation, along with another teenager. The only recourse they offered was to remove ONE $29 meal for my terrible experience. But kept their 18% gratuity for our party of 8 that they did not make happy.

We went for Mother’s Day Brunch. I should have known when the advertisement still had the Easter date on it. They doubled the price of the normal, which we expected after searching posts for last years information. They took out the pancakes and grits today, which was one of the reasons we chose it because that is what my son would eat. The service and food were fine, but not what we were expecting for Mother’s Day or the price.

This place has bad food and higher prices than are reasonable for the quality. If you want actually good food, go up the street to Charlie Hooper’s or across the street to Meddi’s.

It is a neighborhood restaurant. It has been a couple of years since we dine there. You can tell that the wait staff knew a lot of the diners as they knew the names. Waitress was very busy, personable, and helpful.
