Love this place. I walked down to get a pastry today and decided on a cinnamon roll. All the good I’ve had here is great!

The chipotle breakfast wrap is soooo good and flavorful! Staff are kind as well, this place is busy because their food is good. :)

Plenty of vegan options, clearly labeled. I enjoyed the vegan breakfast burrito.
Ate outside in sidewalk seating area. The food was delicious.

Great food. But I had to stand waiting 30 minutes in a crowded area for 1 egg sandwich .
No sandwich on earth is worth that.

I decided to try out Mildred's while visiting KC. It was pretty busy so I was prepared for a long wait time. Stood in line for about 15-20 mins, ordered then waited. I received my coffee first and it was very good. For the food, when you dine in, they give you a number for your table and you wait for someone to drop the food off. I waited for about 40mins and eventually had to go up to counter to request an update, after that the food finally came out. The burrito was delicious as well. My biggest issue is how chaotic the seating is for such a small and busy location. When I walked in, almost every single seat was taken and there was a line of 10+ people waiting for their coffee or mobile order (I decided to sit after a seat cleared up). Plus a line of 10 people waiting to order. We were all packed together and could barely move. At a certain point, when it's obvious that there is no seating and no space to stand or even grab a napkin, they shouldn't allow more people to dine-in to avoid the overcrowding, just take-out. Not to mention the tables and floors were incredibly dirty. Food, crumbs, hot sauce and napkins everywhere and no employees cleaned it. Overall, the food is good but I'd recommend take-out if you don't want to be crowded into a dirty restaurant with tons of people.

CUTE! Just like their trendy branding. The Hash was awesome, generous portion. Friendly staff, 10/10!

Stopped here for breakfast before leaving KC - so worth it! The cinnamon roll, gooey butter cake, and breakfast hash were delicious! This place was highly recommended and I can see why. The hot mocha latte I got was great too! The place was packed and busy but they weee FAST on getting food and drinks out.

This place is great! Had a large roasted corn and avocado salad (yes, it’s large!) with a cup of tomato basil soup … wow! So good. Fresh, flavorful. The staff also let me sample the carrot ginger cold soup, which was very tasty. Definitely would recommend.

The gen z stare is strong here among the workers. Food was mediocre — my sandwich was made on what seemed like undercooked bread (very dough-y) and honestly was something I could have made myself at home for half the price. The tomato soup was very acidic and tasted like jarred marinara sauce, not a soup. Latte was decent. Cookie wasn’t warmed and was too sweet — what’s the point of a bakery cookie if it’s not warm? Would not go back — maybe in the past it was more homey and welcoming but now it just feels like any cafe you’d find in a bougie yuppie urban neighborhood. The tables are pretty.
