I came, I made a request for a song for karaoke night at Missie B's in Kansas City, Missouri, it's a gay bar. I waited almost two hours. I was invisible. At the end of the night I asked her to take my name off the list. My Uber arrived. The karaoke DJ sang three times after I made my request. I was the only Latino who asked to sing at an otherwise empty bar. Latinos are invisible in Kansas City, I guess. But being shamed by a fellow black person was too much. Dorian kicked me out. I'm also black. He threatened to call the cops on me, after explaining why I felt unseen. As an attorney who is black and Latino that was deeply offensive. As a visitor from out of town, I have never been made to feel so unwelcome. I will never come back here again. If you know me you know me. Dorian calls the cops on Latinos. We are not seen here and we are not welcome. Even when we are educated and come with grace and respect.

Nice people, however the website had absolutely no warning about CONSTANT strobe lights. No warnings were made at all, where many clubs I have been to have these warnings if they have these lights present.
The lights were so bad one of my friends who has epilepsy had to be escorted outside as they nearly seized. As we were trying to leave, one of the drag queens rudely got in our walkway as we were covering my friends eyes trying to help her leave. I can’t recommend this place to those who have any sort of light sensitivities, as they use no warnings and are not accessibility friendly. I’m more than disappointed, and definitely wish I didn’t spend money on drinks for a show that none of us could even watch.

Had a great time. The drag show was fun and the music was popping. It's definitely a younger scene but my whole group seemed to have a good time.

very fun, spent my 21st bday tonight here. bartender was awesome, and remembered my order, got me the same drink!!! and knew what to make when i said i wanted something sweet, strong and cheap. got pretty drunk, sadly missed the 10pm performance as i went with my family who are all old and wanted to go home early. warning though if you're new, they only take cash. but theres an atm nearby so its all good.

From dance floor upstairs, drag show downstairs - lounging around the bar or on the patio with friends, to checking out the latest leather gear upstairs. All ages, all types, everyone is welcome - just bring a smile.
