10/10 if i could move to KC just to be able to go to Missie B’s I would. Perfectly safe place for all LGBTQ+ individuals who want a place to drink and dance, do karaoke, meet people, and have a great time. we went two nights in a row, and both nights we had an absolute blast, getting to sing karaoke and watch a drag musical of Mario Party. The drinks were well mixed and reasonably priced (it is cash only but they have at least two ATMs) and our bartender the first night David really made the experience perfect. If you’re looking for safe fun for all different walks of life, Missie B’s is the place to go.

Had a great time until the DJ for karaoke night was continuously disrespectful to multiple people. He was actively yelling at my friend- a dark skin black woman - to get off stage before and immediately after finishing their song but he did not say that to anyone else. He also told her she couldn’t do multiple songs but let others do multiple songs. He then continually pushed his friends up to the front of the list while there were less than 15 people in the Building. He then called my friend crazy out loud to everyone in the bar when she called him out for his behavior. Disgusting and extremely uncomfortable.
