Look at the way business false accused customers for honest reviews.
We visited Moti Mahal yesterday, but the experience was far from great. We were greeted with sticky doors and unpleasant interiors with a stink.
The starters were disappointing. The Moti Mahal platter had a taste that was far below average, and we couldn’t find anything we liked. The paneer tikka and naan were tasty, though.
The Biriyani was another letdown. It didn’t look appealing at all.
Overall, we didn’t have a positive experience at this place. It felt like a dhaba near a village outskirts of Delhi.
The best restaurant I have ever eaten at! Look forward to the lamb Masala as often as possible!
They served the worst biryani in the whole US. It was like a tamarind rice, without any taste and aroma. Sad. I wonder whether the cook ever tasted biryani in his life anywhere else. Also I never seen a kebab that saggi in my life so far. Itz not Indian at all. I would say these guys are scamming the international community in the name of Indian cuisine. Shame on you guys.
Ordered Chana aloo was the worst taste every. Chana floating on tomato puree no spice no salt? What is this behaviour?
Consistently amazing, the best Indian food in KC!
Excellent food and service. I highly recommend.
There wasn't a single item on the buffet worth praising. Not to mention no service. Probably the worst Indian food ever.
What is worse than average food,, a terrible service. Ok i liked the food but the manager is arrogant, the waiter is rude.. on asking for naan he says “oh do u need more?!!!†And after waiting for 20 min he finally gave half nan CRUMBLED into pieces... super annoying The best part was when my hubby gave tip (i Dnt know why) the manager gave her first smile. Worst experience ever..
Great Indian buffet. Everything is tasty and delicious. We when on a vacation trip a month ago and stopped by the Zona Rosa location. We figure it would be good with high ratings and it did not let don't. Probably the best buffet now since Korma Sutra on Metcalf is close. The naan and mango lassi comes to table and every thing else is self serve. Interesting thing I saw was that they accepted Bitcoin as a payment method.
I'm giving a two star rating instead of a one star rating because of the "dessert" that was given to my husband and I without our asking. I actually blame myself because we already have a great Indian restaurant, so we should have just gone there. I'm being kind and not stating that restaurant here because I think my review will be quite enough. First red flag( when we should have ran away) it was 6pm and only one couple was in the restaurant. Second that GOD AWFUL color scheme. Seriously instead of changing the name someone should have changed the paint! Okay now the important things: service was very close to rude. Absolutely not attentive or friendly. We were rushed to order, I don't know why because they weren't busy. Second it took a while for our food to be served. The food was NOT good, sauces on both our entrees were watery. I could barely keep the lentils on my spoon to serve over the rice. Needless to say we didn't take the leftovers. Lastly I will say I didn't use the restroom or anything so I can't comment there but the wall of the booth we were sitting at was VERY dusty. Which for lack of a better word is gross. Won't be returning.
Restaurantji Recommends
Would not recommend. The chicken in the Butter Chicken that I ordered was very dry and overall the sauce was watering. They gave us a dessert that we didn't order and then ended up charging us for it. The service was also not the best, we were never checked on and it took a long time to get the check. There are much better Indian restaurants in Kansas City.
I love indian food and this place had a very good variety of dishes to choose. I took the Lamb Korma which was delicious and my colleagues liked their plate too, I'll be back to this place when I'm in town
Just a name change. Korma Sutra is now Moti Mahal. If this was your favorite Indian restaurant in KC (mine) it's the same menu, staff and cook. Great brunch, good diner.
Such Amazing Flavor!
