My wife and I are originally from Louisiana and we enjoyed the Po Boys, Gumbo and Jambalaya. The atmosphere is amazing. I highly recommend.

Had lunch here for my husband’s birthday with some family and friends. It was delicious! I loved the shrimp po boy and my husband loved the sea hog. We also enjoyed the okra and lemon garlic fries. We had pre-ordered a king cake and had some when we got home. It was amazing! We highly recommend going to Mudbugs! We will definitely be back!

We stopped in for lunch because we were in the area. I got the redfish special. It was well seasoned and the fish was cooked perfectly. All the ingredients were super fresh. Portions were generous and the staff was friendly! Music was a touch loud for my taste but all in all a great meal! We will be back to try other items!

Went here to get gumbo. What I received was a cup of broth. 7 skinny medallions of sausage. Never saw any chicken in the cup. The rice was a bit gray looking. The mud bug sandwich was acceptable but nothing more.

This was the first place I’ve tried Cajun in KC that it actually tasted authentic. I’ve been to other places and gotten six little pieces of shrimp on my po boy. They were generous here. We got to visit with one of the owners, who was super cool. We bought some gumbo to try, but she also brought us out a a sample of their jambalaya and it was delicious. The gumbo was too! I also loved that the restaurant was Mardi Gras themed. Would definitely recommend!

I got the shrimp po’boy with some red beans and rice. Needless to say the food melted in my mouth and exploded at the same time as they had the Bee Gees playing in the background. Hidden Gem the food is of higher quality than the place they are in, seriously worth the price ! Loved it

Ate lunch. Between us we had roast beef po boys, fried okra, gumbo, and fries. Everything was great. Simple place. Order at counter and find a place to sit. Food comes out fast and hot. Po boys are substantial. Lots of meat. The large gumbo was some of the best I've had. Came with a large side of rice. I was concerned that I wouldn't like the lemon garlic fries...I was incorrect. They're very good. Very happy to have eaten here.

Mudbugs in Kansas City is fantastic! I ordered the Shrimp Po’ Boy and the Crawfish Po’ Boy. Both were absolutely delicious. The Shrimp Po’ Boy was packed with perfectly seasoned shrimp, and so flavorful and satisfying.

The Crawfish Po’ Boy was just as incredible—crispy, fresh crawfish piled high on toasted bread with just the right amount of seasoning. Every bite was full of authentic Cajun flavor.

Generous portions, great service, and food that hits the spot!!! If you’re in Kansas City and love Cajun food, Mudbugs is a must-try!

Thought we would try this out for lunch on a Saturday as we were in the neighborhood and looking to try a new place. My husband ordered a Poboy sandwich and okra, I had the shrimp basket. My husband liked his sandwich the okra was too greasy. I did not enjoy my choice. The portions were good, but all I could taste was salt. The fries were crispy and tasted like pure salt. The shrimp was crispy and tasted like salt, no chance of any shrimp flavor shining through. We asked if they had any cocktail sauce or other sauce were given hot sauce and aioli - one thing you don't need to add to already salty food is hot sauce. I was only able to get down about 1/3 of the meal because I was very hungry. Not sure I will go back to try anything else on the menu. I guess if you like fried salty food this place is for you. If you are not a fan of salt- go elsewhere..
