Greek food is one of my favorites! This was my 1st time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Ordered the Gyro Chicken bowl and what a great choice! Chicken was fresh and well seasoned, the Basmati rice tender and full of flavor served with grilled bell peppers and onions with a side Greek salad and warm pita bread this was an amazing lunch and best of all of I had some left over for later. Can't wait to try other menu items next time!

I hesitate to share my SECRET place for good, quick food, but it is too good not to share. They deserve a steady business. Since they have revamped the restaurant in recent years, service is always excellent and the food is very fresh. I first went here many years ago and it definitely needed a little uplift. In the last year or so, I have placed many online orders and they are always ready when I pick them up and they also have DELIVERY! which is very convenient. They are less expensive and better than the chain Greek place that I have visited on the other side of the state line. I like that they have some healthy options. My only suggestion is that they update their online menu and add some better pictures and descriptions. They don't really describe the food well and they don't say what is included in a combo or a "dinner", for instance. Love it!

I've only had gyros through carryout, but this is one of the better gyros in the city. Very reasonably priced, with good and quick service.

Named after a classic 1960 Hollywood film (set in Greece, and starring Melina Mercouri), this very-Greek restaurant tucked into a South KC strip mall has very legit Greek fare, and the staff is very kind, plus the food is I'd say 4.5 stars (not quite perfect or super inexpensive). I especially enjoyed the grape leaves, which sets NOS apart from many other Greek restaurants in my experience. I'd rate service at 5 solid stars. They really seem to care, unlike so many places that forget how important food is to hungry ppl, or forget to include utensils if I requested them. I'm a fairly close neighbor to this place, and like my other favorite fast-meal options on south Prospect or Troost, this one is on my short list near the top, and my only current regular option on south Holmes.

I went on the eve of Thanksgiving at 12:30 pm. This place wasn't busy, but it should have been!! I got a Gyro with Fries & Salad, and Hummus. My daughter got the Gyro bowl and Spanokopita. It was all DELICIOUS!! If I could have changed anything, it would have been a little Olive Oil on top of the hummus. It had excellent flavor, but was a little dry. This small business should definitely be supported! When I am in KC again, I will definitely be back! Keep up with the great food!!

How sad. Used to be one of my favorite Greek restaurants but carryout we just picked up was mediocre. Souvaki was tough and over cooked. Salads were tiny. Haven't tried gyro yet but my expectations are low

I arrived in the between meals afternoon and my server was also cooking, and apologized that my first two requests had just come out of the oven and needed time to finish final cooking. But the gyro sandwich was mouth-watering and dolmas satisfying like all great Greek food! Yummy spanakopita, too.I’ll make regular stops here for more of this culinary excellence, I’m sure. Overall 4 ⭐️!

Excellent Greek food! One of the first Greek places we've found in the KC area that has a nice thick tzatziki sauce instead of the watered down stuff most places have. Excellent lamb in the gyros and the spanakopita is great. Very friendly staff as well! We'll absolutely be back!

This was my first fresh gyro and it did not disappoint. Lamb: underrated.The fries should be bringing in people all day. I can't believe we ate alone.
It was our first time trying this place, and it was delicious! I ordered two gyros and fries to go with a side of hummus and it was all really tasty. I could drink the tzatziki sauce! We can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu.

Wonderful food, huge portions, and cheerful quick service. Hungry athletic 17yo son and I ordered a gyro bowl, chicken gyro sandwich, and a side of falafels for dinner and had enough left for my breakfast. We arrived right at closing but they cheerfully served us anyway and the falafels must have been freshly cooked because they were particularly amazing. The place is not fancy but five stars for the atmosphere because it was so welcoming.

One of my all time favorite Greek places! The prices are super affordable and the quality of the food is great! I’ve never had a dish here that I didn’t like. The seating is a bit lacking, so be warned! I would absolutely recommend this place if you like Greek food!
