Moody, dark and perfect. The vocalist tonight and her band were exquisite and deserve more attention. The bar tender made a drink to my liking and the vibe was chill and relaxing! Perfect ending to a night in the city!

Male long haired bartender was rude. When my partner asked if they had a certain cocktail, he stated: No, we don't - and then simply stared at her. She asked to of why, and he stated: Because again, we don't have syrups behind the bar. He made no attempt to offer any suggestions and looked miserable to even be present for anyone. He then provided a nasty attitude to our friend who asked for a double, regarding his bourbon. Pre-made cocktails were quite bland and watered down, and my Old Fashioned was unfortunately the worst I've experienced. Stating you get busy (welcome to any cocktail bar), so that is why you offer your drinks pre-maid, isn't an excuse to offer poor drinks at the same price as cocktail bars who actually offer good service, and made in real-time, quality cocktails.

Slick little spot. Has a great vibe. The onion rings were pretty bad, tasted like a slightly cooked onion inside a mini cake donut, but I doubt people come here for the food. The Band was INCREDIBLE. They have pretty attentive staff as there was vomit on the stairs but it was cleaned up pretty quick.

Reallllllllly iconic like holy shit? Getting to it is a little tricky but it's such a cool space with cool people who just want to vibe and have fun. The staff was super cute and nice and really fast with getting food and drinks out. The pretzel bites were phenom and the dj was also really cute. Defo recommend

Nighthawk is my favorite bar in Kansas City. The environment is warm and inviting, with a variety of seating options. I love the long 'bar' away from the bar that allows you to sit at barstools facing the stage. The decor is elegant and moody.Nighthawk features live music and acts multiple nights a week, with no cover, making it a great place to hang out and check out something new. They have a decent happy hour, and a solid drink and snack menu. I love that for beer, they simply have Nighthawk "dark" and "light." Recently, they've started Chiefs watch parties, with food specials, that I've really enjoyed.The bartenders are reliably the same folks, and all friendly.The location is great, central to downtown, right off the street car, in the basement of hotel Kansas City.I can't recommend this place enough!

Been going here for a minute and I love this bar. Great music, good ppl, and awesome food and drinks. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5 is because the kitchen closes to early. When I used to work in the industry, kitchen's always closed 30mins to hr before the bar closed. Nighthawks kitchen closes 3hrs before the bar. Just wish I could eat their food late at night lol
