I LOVE Novel. You can tell they really care about the food. Great for a casual lunch/dinner, or for a special occasion. One of my favs in KC!!!

In the city's heart lies a gem where cuisine is elevated to art. The restaurant, with its modern, clean lines, exudes confidence and sophistication, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Our journey here was remarkable, thanks to the kitchen's inventive use of ingredients, turning each dish into a visually stunning and deliciously surprising masterpiece. The service was another highlight, with attentive staff enhancing our enjoyment and making us feel part of the restaurant's family. A special mention goes to our second night at the Chef's counter, where friendly banter and culinary insights enriched our meal. This isn't just a place to eat; it's where food becomes an experience, blending taste, presentation, and warmth into something unforgettable. If you're looking for a vegetarian meal that will impress and delight, this restaurant is your destination.

The food was delicious! Excellent ambiance and service. The restaurant definitely has an elevated feel, but I didn't feel out of place with jeans and a nice top on.

Both our dinner and cocktails were flavorful and delicious! Highly recommend the golden sunchokes appetizer (my favorite of the night!), ramen and ravioli.

Food was excellent - highly recommend the fried egg as starter in particular! Service was great just a bit slow / somehow untimely. Will likely come back to taste the other options on the menu and enjoy another great evening there!

This place is tucked away but worth the discovery. The staff was excellent and went above & beyond to make the dinner special. Deliciously crafted dishes that tickle your tongue with flavor and texture. From the appetizers to dessert, Chef Ryan knows what he’s doing and we’re lucky he’s sharing his craft with Kansas City. Highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in Kansas City. If you want to try food that is unique yet flavorful I would recommend this place. The crispy fried egg appetizer was something we felt truly stood out. Also, our server Nate made elevated the experience that much more.

We just recently went after a long time of having on the to go list. This place is great, everything we ate was very good and the service was exceptional. My favorite thing about the food is they really let the ingredients speak for themselves and there's real depth of flavor with how the spice as well. The drinks put us at about $75 a person but that also included a taste of soup, an appetizer, 2 pastas and a dessert. Not outrageous for the quality at all.We had a taste of butternut squash soup and it was outstanding. Shrimp and grits was also outstanding but if you aren't a texture person you probably will not enjoy the sorghum. My duck agnolotti was fantastic, the duck shines but the layers of flavor put it over the top. I didn't enjoy my wife's crab dish but I avoided it for that reason. The topper was the chocolate mousse dessert. Absolutely one of the best desserts I can remember eating.

We've tried Novel a couple of times. The menu always reads really well but the execution & taste can leave you wanting more, especially since it's going to be a higher priced meal.

This restaurant offers a high-end culinary experience paired with impeccable service. Its fun and hip interior sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. I had the pleasure of trying the Crispy Farm Egg, a delightful blend of flavors and textures, and the Center Cut Duroc Pork Chop, which was cooked to perfection. The cocktails, expertly crafted by talented mixologists, added to the overall enjoyment. So exceptional was my first visit that I returned for a second night during my four-night stay. On my return, I savored the Agnolotti and the pork chop once again, reaffirming the consistency of excellence. In a city brimming with culinary options, this establishment truly stands out. Whether you're a local or a visitor, treating yourself to this dining experience is well worth it.
