Vibe…. Immaculate. Me and my friend came here for girl dinner, and the drinks were amazing. I got a N/A beverage, the matcha limeade and it was so refreshing. My friend got the Lavender haze and we both enjoyed her drink as well. Service was also phenomenal.

Th food has potential and this is my opinion- the fries were well seasoned but the dipping sauce was watery and the fries itself were more on the soft side.
We also ordered the smashed cucumbers and for $15…the overall flavor was just not there. The sashimi was refreshing, i just wish there was an optional sauce with it. Our overall experience was great, i will definitely come back. But for food…. Maybe.

The server also charged my boyfriends card for $10 more.. when we tipped in cash. I called the manager and I'm ALSO in the industry, the manager did not seem like she wanted to talk to me and literally just refunded me the $10 on my boyfriend's card and just said "Sorry about that". Sorry about that? You mean sorry for stealing from my boyfriend?? I would've gotten fired for that.... and then she said "Hope you come back!" ..... Why would I even want to come back? So I can pay for a $15 drink thats half drank and eat terrible food? I'm good.
Went to Ombra last night to watch my friend play... I've been excited to try this place for a long time.. Ordered the $45 board, whatever it is called.. Probably the weirdest board I've ever had.. my boyfriend thought so too. We ate what we liked which wasn't much. The server came by finally after not coming by for a long time, I told them to please take it out of my way. It was basically almost full and they didn't even ask why when I told them to please take it. (It was a short blonde server). I work in the industry and still do.. it was obvious I didn't like it. I also had two cocktails, she tried to take the first one from me without asking when I had half my drink left... then I got another cocktail and had half of that one left and looked away from it for a minute and looked back and it was gone... she took that one without asking too. Not a good experience or impression for going for the first time... Very bad service.

After a frustrating 10-minute wait at Ombra, my friends and I were finally acknowledged by the staff. Despite our attempts to catch their attention, it felt like we were invisible until we were about to leave. The lack of attentiveness and unapologetic attitude from the servers was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the sparse crowd – just 2 occupied tables and a handful of people at the bar. It's clear that customer satisfaction isn't a priority at Ombra. I strongly discourage anyone from dining here, as the service we experienced was far below acceptable standards.

I recently had a disappointing experience here due to their lack of attentiveness to customers. Upon entering, no one made eye contact or acknowledged our presence, which immediately set a negative tone. Throughout our visit, the staff seemed more focused on chatting it up with one another than providing quality service. When we brought up our concerns upon leaving, we were met with a dismissive response from a Hispanic man “well do you have any reservation?” Lead by "We were busy." When there was probably only 2 tables full. This lack of acknowledgment and accountability for their poor service was highly disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend Ombra due to their neglect of customer care.

We only had the large board but it was great with a mix not normally found on boards in KC.
We found out they have 1/2 price bottles of wine on Thursday so next time we do a “Thirsty Thursday” it will be here.

Terrible food. The fries were over salted. The bisque was broken and inedible. The miso tasted like chicken stock, not miso. The cheese plate was put together as if the preparer had never eaten a cheese board. The cocktail was supposed to have an egg white foam or bubbles but it was basically this gelatinous substance floating over the drink. Horrible across the board.

Delicious food. Server Travis was great. This restaurant reminds me of a restaurant out in DC. The cutlery is very nice, got an opinel knife for my dish! Love the ambiance in here, they were playing Terror Squad - Lean Back. I will be back!

Myself and five others decided to try Ombra for cocktails on a Friday evening - it was later - about 9ish - the place was empty which was not our issue - we were told we could only sit at the bar and not any of the empty tables - it is very difficult for 6 people to have a conversation at the bar. We asked if we could sit at a table and promised not to make a mess :) they told us NO so we left - we will try it again and hope for a better outcome.
