The dimly lit speakeasy space is pretty well decorated, which saved this place. That said, it was as noisy as a college bar with people standing and shouting to talk, which is not in keeping with the speakeasy vibe. Drinks were decidedly average. The old fashioned drinks were unbalanced, oddly having too much heat on the first sip and then becoming too watery after letting it sit for a few minutes. My friends and I were seated and were there for 2 hours. We saw our waitress maybe twice and had to hunt her down for our checks eventually. We would have loved to have more drinks but never had the chance to.
I was disappointed in our visit to PS. It was billed as a historical location and I didn't get the sense of that. We walked right in and there was no one at the door to greet us. The online menu on the Google listing had food available for purchase and we were counting on that to refuel for our night. When we arrived, when asked, our server informed us that there was no food service. The drinks were good but we had trouble relaxing to enjoy them because we needed to get some...
