Onion ring were hand made and delicious. The double cheese burger was great and fresh. Kielbasa sausage made in house was good but wasn't quite as flavorful as I'd like. Customer service was good. The staff was personable. I will return and send more business. Hidden gem.

Dietary restrictions: We can't really eat bread so I asked for the sandwiches without bread and they accommodated me with no problem.

Kid-friendliness: Grilled cheese option for the kiddos.

they have the best polish sausage , the only kind I like. I don't like name brands just Peter Mays and the close by right in my neighborhood. plus the people who work there are such good nice people. they make feel welcome like your right at home.

It's an old polish deli with some really good kielbasa, Polish sausage, sauerkraut and some really tasty homemade perogies.

Had the double cheese and fries, one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Months later I still think of this place lol. Can't wait til I'm back in the area to try the sausage.

Best Reuben I've had in Kansas City!

This place is a throwback to when neighborhoods had small package stores, restaurants, and bars that were gathering places in the community. It is out of the way. And definitely not glamorous. Near the old Kansas City Ford plant.

The folks inside couldn't be nicer. The meats are handmade, smoked on-site, and very, very good. Grabbed a couple pounds of smoked sausage for the grill at home. It was outstanding also.

It's been in the same spot for 90 years. It's an experience. If you know, you know?

Gotta get the polish sausage sandwich from this delightful KC Hole-in-the-wall. You can get meat and sides to go as well. I want to get the pierogis next time.

I am the niece (Lisa Anne Stiles Floyd) of Phyllis and Raymond May. I recently moved back to Kansas City after almost 50 years...yay!!! I can absolutely promise you that you need to look no where else for your kielbasa and other Polish delights...way too many great childhood memories of this place to list...Gene the butcher, the smokehouse out back, singing Christmas carols around the little decorated tree behind the store, listening to the train come barreling through the neighborhood, Aunt Phyllis' Easter table, her blond beehive hairdo, the smell of her homemade yeast rolls rising in the cupboard of her kitchen, the day she finally installed the pool, getting to jam with Pete Eye of the Pete Eye Trio at her house, playing that monster church organ in the living room, her gorgeous French Provincial furniture, and of course, their beautiful children Ramey (RIP), Linda, Michelle (RIP), and Hank (RIP)...Uncle Ray was a gentle giant and his quietness was never to be taken lightly...he definitely knew what "he brought to the table" in regards to his kielbasa...I miss you all everyday...so thrilled to know the legacy of May's kielbasa is being continued by the grandbabies...❤️❤️❤️
