We came at a bad time in that they didn't have much to offer; however, we were told they'd have some more sausages available later that day. We did buy a long meat snack, not sure what its name was, but it was tasty. Just walking into the place was awesome. If/when we come back and they have more to offer, I'll change my star for Food from four to five stars.

Best traditional wiejska style kielbasa in town. Try the kabanos. Hidden gem; I'm surprised they are not more well known across the metro.

I would often to go to Peter May's when I lived up the street at the old seminary (St. Paul). Phyllis was the best. She treated me like family. I sure miss her and the restaurant. May God bless you!

Stopped in to get lunch this past Friday and thaw out from being at Pick n Pull for 5 hours. Small restaurant with lots of unique decorations and the guys running it were very friendly. Both meals were great and prices were very good. The kielbasa is definitely something I'd go back for.

My father in law goes here often and gets a “boat load” of their Kielbasa sausage. I’ve tried 3 different flavors and I can honestly say they have the best Kielbasa I’ve ever eaten. I need to visit and check this place out but trust me their Kielbasa is hands down the best in the city!

Family owned since 1929! Great place for an inexpensive lunch and they sell meat and pierogies to take home. This is a Kansas City treasure!

Very old school inside. The sausage is phenomenal! I got the Polish sandwich with peppers, onions, pickles and mustard...... excellent. My wife got the Reuben (instead of corned beef, it's made with sliced Polish sausage).....it was super! The older gal that works there treated us like we were eating in her own kitchen. Super people and damn good sausage. Prices are very reasonable. Grab an RC and a Polish sausage sammich....you won't be disappointed.

Have been frequenting for many years. As did my parents and grandparents so many years ago as I am 70 years old. And as far as what I recommend, if they have it you should buy it!
