Went for dinner after the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting for our annual tradition. Every step of our experience was excellent. It started with friendly hosts that sat us. Our server was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was lively and beautiful. My meal was the salmon which was one of the best salmon dishes I have had. My sister had the turnip vegetarian plate which was also good. I have been many times, but this was an exemplary visit.
Food and service was wonderful. Pierpont's is our go to for fine dining steak and it was fantastic as usual!
Ww had Brunch here. Our server Brennen was phenomenal and the food and cocktails were great. We had a wonderful time.
Delightful dining experience! Gorgeous holiday decorations adorning early 20th century architecture. Strongly recommend this dining experience & romantic fall ambiance.
Pierpont's is among the finest establishments in KCK. We have nothing but good things to say about the entire dining experience.
Our server, Megan, was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing or too interruptive. She knew we were headed to the opera and kept a close watch on time with our service so we would not be late. I'd definitely ask for her again! We were seated next to the entrance to the servers station/kitchen and there was a ton of traffic whizzing by our table, which was a little distracting. Someone has to sit there, but it seems like they could have put our table for two somewhere less intrusive (we were at a four top). It was not a full restaurant, so I'm not sure why were were seated smack in the middle of kitchen traffic. The food was amazing, as always. Pierpont's has been a family favorite for decades and the food is the # 1 reason we keep returning.
What an awesome night! Friends in from out of town and as newbies to KC we were looking for a unique experience. Pierpont's did not disappoint! Everything was wonderful! The food, the wine, the service! Perfection! Highly recommend!
The walnut, pear, pecan and arugula salad had very good ingredients, but a dressing that was so vinegar-heavy I almost sent it back. The sablefish was good but not outstanding.
Great service but we had to send our plates back twice due to the food not being hot - barely warm. And even then the steak was still not hot. Too expensive for such an issue from the kitchen.
Had nothing but perfect experiences at Pierponts for over 7 years of going now, but this time the ribeye was a little chewy. Likely a one time thing but was odd given their track record. Looking forward to going again and making sure it was a one off!

Beautiful historic venue, friendly helpful staff & delicious food & drink. Also impressed that they knew how to redeem our OpenTable rewards credit! We have unfortunately found that many restaurants don't. Thank you Pierponts!
They Ruined our evening and said it was my fault and laughed. Upon arrival I gave the hostess my name and was told it would be a few minutes before our table was ready, so I asked where to find the restroom. The hostess told me downstairs and to the left. In the elevator it was no problem. Later that evening I was trying to return to the restroom and avoid a rather large line at the elevator I decided I would just take the stairs, the staircase door was two feet from elevator door. That exit door trapped me in the staircase for 30 minutes while my wife sat alone at our table. The hostess never told me about the restroom in the restaurant . The food we got was not good, the apple walnut salad was so bitter I couldn't eat it, crab bisque was ok but only had 1 tiny piece of crab in it. We never got our entree that we paid for. Terrible restaurant terrible management & terrible food ,spend your money anywhere else!
It wasn't that busy. We sat at the bar. Bartenders were attentive. We waited 45 minutes for our food while others who arrived after us received their food. I ordered my steak medium well and it was red. They did take the steak off my bill. It just took too long for as dead as it was and considering they didn't cook my steak for very long. I would only go back for a drink.
Excellent food and service, accommodated our change in reservation, filet mignon was outstanding, overall a five star experience!
