we walked in and the place was packed we were excited to try we waited to be seated over 20min passed two women walk right in and hostess sits them I walk over to explain what I just witness and I was brushed away this is a horrible establishment I dont recommend

2026- Hannah and Yeny did such an amazing job.they did such a good job taking care of our party. There was a nice young lady keeping the area clean and supporting the waitresses and had a smile the entire time. Always good service here. We have been here for 4 Cinco de Mayo celebrations and always amazing drinks and food. The salsa is different. Always amazing margaritas! Happy Birthday bob! See you next year!

Bob our waiter was amazing. Alec was awesome as well. There was a bus boy in our area and he was also very kind and they worked so hard together. They got in bused tables as a team. The host was super polite. Food was great. Margaritas were yummy and plenty of alcohol. The manager or owner on Cinco De Mayo was also very good and kind. They managed so well for such a big crowd and busy day. I was amazed with how polite everyone was with such a busy day. I always enjoy the food and service.

1.5 hr wait or more. No parking. People Packed up to the door. Syaff using a microphone to call out names from a paper list. Bartender sloshing buckets to refill the margarita mixers. Workers bumping into everything and everybody. Never got seated. Had to walk out. I'm sure the fire marshal would have closed the place down. Way too many people. Not even utilizing the outside seating.

The service and people are exceptional. The food... not because of the cooks.... but what Ponak's historical signature recipes are are below standard. Yellow cheese is signature for taco bell American Mexican food quality. But drinks are great. I only come here for drinks and to reunite with friends who lives on different parts of Kansas City.

Food was terrible. No seasoning on the beef when the menu claimed it was chili seasoned. Won’t be back. This place had amazing food in the 90s. Not sure what happened.
