When i reserved a table for 2 for Sunday 7/21/2024 this site did not say it was closed, but they took my reservation and charge me a deposite to hold my table. They even sent me an email Friday 7/19/2024 to confirm my reservation, which i did. the back story is no email stating they were closed and no refund of my deposite. But we showed up to find out it was closed on our Anniversary at that. Here is the crazy part the sent an email this morning stating that they where thrilled to have you as our guest. So can you make this make sense you took my deposite, establisment was closed but thanked us for coming. How do i get my refund?

What a horrible experience. I made a reservation for my wife and my 22nd anniversary at the beginning of July. On Friday, July 26th, I received a confirmation of the reservation. Imagine our surprise when we pull up the next day to find a completely empty parking lot. We get on the internet to discover that the restaurant is "temporarily closed". No sign on the door explaining the problem. No attempt made to notify people holding reservations as to the fact that the restaurant is closed. We quickly scrambled and found a wonderful place that could fit us in. The best part of all of this is that the next morning I received an e-mail "from" the restaurant thanking me for dining there and wanting my feedback. Based on this experience, we will never even attempt to go there again.

I made a birthday reservation (7/12) and the restaurant was closed. Checked the restaurant site and it showed "open" but it wasn't open. I had to find a last minute restaurant to celebrate myself and my nieces birthday. Not to mention taking credit card info to make the reservation is Unacceptable. If you are planning to be closed then you shouldn't be able to book a reservation.

Made reservations for 7/12/24 and when we pulled up the place was closed. My sister flew in town for her birthday and this was suppose to be her birthday dinner. A little disappointed that we didn’t get any kind of notice so we could make other plans!

You all are so unprofessional! Why would you all allow people to book reservations months, and weeks in advance and have the nerve to not be open on the day of bookings. You all had the nerve to take peoples card information for a reservation with no notice. You all had could have atleast had someone call and explain what happened or tell people “Not today”, but due to your miscommunication many customers were unhappy including my partner and I. We plan to file a lawsuit for false advertisement and false card pre-authorization.
You all are so unprofessional and unethical. 0/5 stars from us.

Celebrated my 8th anniversary with my wife at Privee and it was the BEST. The staff was great. Bryant greeted us when we came in and took some incredible pictures for us around the restaurant. DC was our server and he’s one of the best I have had in KC. The food was masterful and extremely flavorful. Everything hit. We both got the lamb chops and I don’t know how they cook and season them but these were the best lamb chops I ever had. The veggie fried rice was a tastebud field day and the Brussels sprouts were good as well. I will definitely be back.

We made reservations, got to the restaurant, and they were completely closed down. There was an envelope with someone's name on it as though they had been served. We were really looking forward to dining here and everything said they were open but they weren't.

We got there and the place was closed. We didn't get any notice or anything and this reservation was supposed to be for my sister's birthday and she flew in town. We were very disappointed.

Tim and Marcus (owners) owe the contractor that completed the renovation on this space in excess of 60k. They have a lawsuit from their valet company in excess of 8k for unpaid service. They have been offered settlements and have continued to dodge paying their contractural obligation. I feel bad for their staff. Chef Heff puts out fantastic food. Ethics are non existent in this ownership group. PAY YOUR BILLS, or admit you’re broke. Failed attempts at investors, loans and now you can’t pay the lawyer that spent weeks drafting your settlement agreements. Shame on you!

‼️Went to Privee during Sunday Brunch, got there right before it got completely full. So I would certainly recommend a reservation, even if they say you don't need one. There was a DJ that played music that went well with the crowd and vibes, Food service was fairly quick. There were some baddies in the building. The ambiance was inviting, yet, the dress code was NOT adhered to during this brunch....which is understandable. I can tell they understand what ppl want for a turn-up brunch...and they are on their way ?. They do need to train their wait staff. Everyone was polite, however, you can tell they are inexperienced. The Bathroom foyer was a nice touch. I definitely recommend this place, if you are in KC. And it's Black owned, so you know I had to order a bunch of food and leave a hefty tip for the sever. I think this one has strong staying power if they continue to keep it classy, and shun any dangerous shenanigans ?

Theresa at the bar, showed so much hospitality to me and my girls at brunch. Drinks good, and the food was really good.
I had steak and eggs, and the pancake was huge.
