I felt bad for the barista, who had to work on his own while customers piled up. The "be back in 5 minutes" sign didn't help as we sat there for 15 minutes waiting to get a cup of coffee from a frazled (although very efficient) Barista. In the end, we waited 15 minutes for a 6/10 cup of coffee. Barista should have an extra hand helping out to cut back on wait times for customers.

Today, I took a group of clients from Alphapointe to the Nelson Atkins Museum. The clients are visually impaired. We completed a tactile tour and a tactile art class. The staff was incredible! The instructors gave verbal descriptions of the building, verbal descriptions of the art, and allowed us to touch the art with gloves. The instructors were well prepared, patient, and flexible with the needs of the clients. They even met with me ahead of time to discuss the needs of the clients. We will definitely be visiting again!

I stopped in after visiting a few galleries at The Nelson Atkins and had a quick, enjoyable latte. The cafe area has a nice view of the north side of the museum and plaza park space. The coffee is good. If you are in need of a quick cup while visiting the museum, stop in!

Coffee shop prices for coffee quality I could just about make at home. Being in the art gallery is a plus but if it was not for that Thou Mayest is not a coffee shop I'd frequent.

I don’t know that I’d come all the way here just for the coffee. But if you’re in the Nelson anyway, this is definitely worth a stop.I showed up early to beat the crowds and get some caffeine before strolling some of my favorite spots in the museum. The chai tasted great and was served at just the right temperature. The barista was polite and efficient. Seating was comfortable and quiet (though I’m guessing it might get noisy later in the day).I’ll definitely do this again on future visits.

Nice little coffee shop. Take a break, then head back in to the art exhibits.

We waited for over 30 minutes for a latte. In no hurry.
