This review at one time was 5 stars. Haven't been here in a while, Walked into the Barista complaining to a customer for having to be around liberals in her class. Then she proceeds to talked down on gender inclusion which she iluded to the LBGTQ community and race saying oh its hard being around those type of ppl. I was next one in line and questioned her statement of what she meant by 'those type of ppl'. She gives a generic I love everyone. I had a cheese and cracker pack grab from the fridge and placed it back as i asked my very direct question of what did she mean by 'those types of ppl' to consider if i should support this business. She then gives a comment about how it's hard being around different ppl and their opinions. At that point I walked out.
I gathered from the interaction there was discrimination and racism from the worker that is a representation of the cafe.
Diversity no longer seemed welcome. I walked out after that interaction to rush to change my 5 star review to this current one and will never return and will be Informing my community of the behavior .
If the business choose to look into which barista said this it was the last hour around 8 pm today 2/6.

I came across Renegade Coffee Shop while driving down N Oak and decided to stop in—so glad I did. From the moment I opened the door, I was welcomed into a warm and inviting environment. Everyone there, from the staff to the other guests, made it feel like a genuinely friendly place. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the coffee and treats are, which is honestly one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back. I live about 15 minutes away, but I’ll gladly make the drive every day just to avoid other coffee shops—especially for the prices here. Great atmosphere, great prices, and really good coffee. Highly recommend!
