I bought a "salmon" salad here and whatever the fish was, it didn't look like salmon and smelled and tasted badly spoiled. Restaurant wouldn't refund or replace my meal, had to throw out a $20 salad.

Have no fear traveling vegans, there is a nice option that provides whole food plant-based options when coming through MCI! ? This was my first time through the new airport and have to say it was great! Safi Fresh had a few options. I had the Veggie Bowl. It came with black beans, chick peas, avocado, red & yellow bell peppers, mushrooms, and rice. I've probably missed a few ingredients, because everything is very customizable. The gentleman at the counter was so helpful and knew exactly which dressings were vegan, which was helpful.
Vegetarian options: Vegan options available and staff was knowledgeable between vegan and vegetarian.

Come here for an immunity boost. Not fresh. The salad looked like it had been walked on, and the salmon tasted like it came out of someone's pocket. Very little seating available. The scooper guy was nice though.

The worst experience I had in any airport in the US and overseas. They are scammers and cheaters! I paid $24 and for a small bottle of water and very little food. (Half bowl)!!!!

For some reason, I just spent almost $20 on a tiny salad, similar in size and quality to what you can get at Subway. It also has very little dressing on it, so it’s dry and bland. Very disappointing.
The salad is SO SMALL and $17 ! I understand airport food is expensive but these prices are absolutely ridiculous. The salad was good but not $17 good.

I stood in line for five minutes and then the guy told me oh he was close. He had to go have lunch and that he wasn’t gonna serve me so I walked away and then I looked back a few minutes later and there were people there still in line, but he was really rude to me. Didn’t say I’m sorry or what do you want he just said, I’m going to lunch

Unpleasant surprise #1: Build your own salad is a flat rate on the menu. There’s no mention surcharges for things like salmon or avocado until you check out and the bill is higher than expected. Unpleasant surprise #2: you’d hope a $17 salad would be filling. Not the case here. It came with at most 17 spring mix leaves. Don’t waste your money here and definitely don’t tip.
