Simple, no fuss, good food. Obv more expensive but it's an airport, what do you expect?

Pros: quick and easy, customizable and has vegetarian or vegan options by omitting or swapping ingredients. Colorful and fresh food in the airport!
Cons: rice was undercooked, and another person said their wrap was underwhelming but adequate. No veg protein option aside from produce.

One of the worst breakfast sandwiches I've ever eaten. A scoop of cold eggs in a white bread croissant served by somebody who acted like they'd rather be anywhere but the airport. 2 of the 4 chairs in their seating area are broken and the counter looks like it hasn't been wiped down in several days. There are plenty of other food options at MCI. I'd skip this place.

Nicest staff at the airport and delicious food. One of the only healthy options - I get it every time I’m at the airport.

I would give less than one if there is a possible option. The portion was very low and the rice was very hard felt like it was cooked a week ago. The staff attitude was very disgusting. Not recommended at all.

Safí Fresh , Kansas City Int’l Airport. Quick preparation, friendly service. This food stall at MCI is a really nice choice. Nothing fried, salted or sugared. Just a mild meal with choices ranging from wraps to bowls to salads. A healthy alternative to the other and some really bad choices at MCI. Ingredients are fresh and preparation quick. Definitely 5⭐️

Here's a review for Safi Fresh, the Mexican restaurant:
Review of Safi Fresh Mexican Restaurant
I recently visited Safi Fresh and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service. Despite some criticism it has received, I believe it stands out as a top Mexican restaurant, especially within an airport setting.
The menu offers a variety of healthy options that are both delicious and fulfilling. Unlike other fast-casual spots, Safi Fresh provides meals that taste fresh and homemade. I've tried Chipotle at several airport locations, but Safi Fresh surpasses them with its unique flavors and healthier offerings.
One of my favorite aspects of dining at Safi Fresh is that I don't feel like I'm eating junk food. The ingredients taste fresh, and the portions are just right. Whether you’re in a rush or have time to sit down, the experience is satisfying. I highly recommend giving it a try next time you're passing through and looking for a wholesome meal.
Overall, Safi Fresh stands out as a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and healthy Mexican cuisine. Don't let the criticisms deter you; this place is a gem!
The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and they’re only $10-$15. You’ll get a meal you’ll remember for the next time you come back, and the service is amazing. They’ll take care of you from the moment you order to the moment you leave, and they’ll even chat with you. It’s like they genuinely care about you and want to make sure you have a great time. You’ll feel respected and valued, and it’s a truly special experience.

The Greek bowl was disgusting. The chicken looked like it was boiled and the olives looked like they were regurgitated from a bird. I was unable to eat more than a few bites…waste of money.

I ate here on March 17, 2025 at 4:00pm.
This was the only meal I ate all day.
Alisha was the person that served me.
I had the Greek Bowl.
This meal gave me the worst food poisoning I've had in my life. I was deeply ill for three straight days. I wish I had read the reviews of this place before trying it, but I usually don't check reviews of places when I eat at an airport. This place should be inspected by the health department.

The rice was crunchy and stale. Not sure if it was from the night before. The service was okay, but this is the only real Gluten Free option I had. Really disappointing.

I ordered buffalo chicken wrap and chicken avocado wrap, and it cost me 32$ + tax. The lettuce was slimy and had gone bad. Chicken was undercooked. One bite, and we had to trash it. Luckily, we found a Pesto Sandwich place called Cervasi Italian place near Gate 60. From then on, it has been my go-to place to eat something before I catch the flight ✈️

really not good and it was 15 dollars. the ingredients listed just tossed into a bowl and quite a bad combination of ingredients. would not eat here even if it was the only thing open. the sandwich was cold as well

Simply do not eat here. Among the worst meals I’ve ever had. A Greek bowl with two small tomatoes, three thin cucumber slices, green olives, and cold chicken that likely had been sitting there all day made for a meal devoid of any flavor or redeeming qualities.
