One of the best Mediterranean restaurants around KC. This one specifically has a wide range of—very affordable yet high-quality options—being close to UMKC and serving students.
Excellent spot for delicious mediterranean food. I love snacking here. The service was helpful and kind. The place has a nice atmosphere.
Gyro platters were delicious. Glad I could eat here while it was still open. I'll miss Sahara.

Even with Covid shutting down the restaurants, Sahara is still putting out great food! The takeout is on point! Sad though to miss out on the good atmosphere......you can count on us to be one of the first people back when the restaurant opens its doors again for sit down dining!

It really hit the spot. The hummus is nicely balanced, the chicken was spot on and I really appreciate that they serve more of a fatoosh/tabooli hybrid salad. I loved it. My only sad face is that soda machine/tea dispenser wasn't.. Stocked? Loved the whole plate, lunch special is more than worth the money.
Food is always delicious and the lentil soup was perfect for a cold winter's night. Ask for a container of hot sauce to give it a little extra kick.
This is good Mediterranean food! Good prices and generous portions too.
In my opinion the best Mediterranean food in town. Their gyro is actually juicy, the hummus is velvety and the rice is so flavorful. since when can you "brag" about rice. Super reasonable, if you are going after 8:00pm call first because they will close a little early if the are not busy.

I ordered a shawarma plate combo, the pita bread is cold and the chicken is over cooked and burnt. The other location is good. Except the hummus the other items arent great.
This place has pretty good food not going to lie its fantastic. The only reason I would give it 4 stars is because the staff seemed to be kind of inattentive and one of the ladies was low-key rude but it is all fine. The food is priced reasonably well and definitely will not break the bank. But I will most definitely recommend the gyro, it is a go too. Go try it out yourself!
Not very friendly or customer oriented. Lee's summit location is much better.
