Love this coffee shop as my husband and I walk there all the time- great vibes and coffee and pastries. Also just had cookies made by Michaela make amazing cookies for our wedding. They were BEAUTIFUL, delicious, and fair price. She is the sweetest. Will add pictures later as of course I don’t have any of my own at the moment. :)

Second Best Coffee catered the cookies for my cousin’s wedding and they were BEYOND AMAZING! So delicious and so incredibly clever, all themed for a spooky Halloween wedding! We highly HIGHLY recommend Second Best coffee for catered cookies…they simply cannot be beat!!!

Atmosphere was lively, friendly and inclusive, my visit was at 930 am on a Thursday. Enjoyed the flakiest cream cheese Danish and my Iced Honey Badger was everything I needed 😊. If you find yourself in Waldo and craving a treat for your min, body and soul- Stop by between their 7am- 2pm hours. Pretty sure I will find a reason to be in the neighborhood again real soon. 10/29-newsworthy update- APPLE CIDER donuts!!!

Unique ambiance. Very good bakery products. I heard the choriso burritos were the best. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because my latte was served lukewarm. I didn't know I had to ask for it to be extra hot.

The coffee scene in KC has space for a lot of variety, and plainly to declare one the best ignores the complexity of the tapestry that is taste. Second Best approaches this with humility to explore that they still have room to grow and develop in to what would make them the best coffee experience. Their community, tenure, and coffee represent a cornerstone of Midwest experience.

My fiance and I ordered the bacon and the chorizo burritos with earl grey tea and an iced mocha. The coffee was good, the tea wasn't steeped correctly and my fiance had to ask for a new one. They said they steep them according to a timer. The tea was clear with no color. After a while we got another tea and had the same problem. The barista had an attitude when she dropped the tea off. The burritos were ok, the chorizo costed more than the bacon but was half the size. Wasn't worth the $30 we spent, we wont be back.
They managed to screw up making tea. Essentially gave me just a cup of hot water.

Staff is genuinely kind, the coffee is good, and so is the food. I absolutely love that they make their syrups in house. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later 😂 would recommend!!

I have never been inside this restaurant, I get my hair done next door, and sometimes I get there early and wait, and as I wait I see people coming in and out. All kinds of people, young, old, black white, Asian, etc. With tattoos, or no tattoos. I love the look, it gives me New York Vibes! Though I'll share that!

I was in the south part of Ward parkway and was needing a coffee so I googled coffee shops nearby (no to chains!) and this one popped up as close by and with good reviews and an interesting name. Headed that way and went inside. I ordered my usual; latte, extra hot, and a cheddar and chive scone. Both were great! It made my day. And they're humble, thus the name. Or so they said... Great place!
