It was a chilly evening at Social, the popular hangout spot in Kansas City. The place was buzzing with energy, filled with laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses. Sean had been there a few times before, but tonight felt different. As he walked in, he noticed Dave Meeker at the bar, casually chatting with the bartender.

Lived in Waldo area for 30+ years. Social has been the best neighborhood bar and grill in that time. Great food, great people, great ambience and great management. My wife and I have become regulars and are on a first name basis with the staff. A great, friendly place to unwind, catch a game, have lunch with co-workers, dinner and drink with the family. It hits all of what you want and want you need.

Had a great time watching the KSU game! Great food, great happy hour, terrific staff.

My only complaint is the DJ (who was also very good!) played the music during commercials and prior to the game WAY too loud. They had a decibel tracker and it never went below 86 when the music was playing. Would prefer not to have to pack my rave earplugs when I go to a bar to watch a game.

If they turn down the music to a safe level-- this place is 100%...
