The food was outstanding however the host Mariah went out of her way to be rude. Upon arrival the host asked if we had a reservation, this was our first time at the restaurant and we were not aware a reservation was required. The restaurant just opened at 5pm and we arrived at 5:15. The restaurant area was empty with exception of bar.As we are being seated, the host tells us we need to be done by 6:45 because she had reservations. Very rude.Dinner came out and my meal was accidentally not put in.As we are discussing waiting on my meal after the other entrees and not being out by 6:45pm and the same host Mariah overheard and says “I hope so because I have reservations”.She walked away. I walked up to her and advised that her comment was very rude and unprofessional. We arrived at 5:15, and placed our order immediately. My order was left off which was apologized for however the host mentioning again we needed to leave was flat out rude. Our dinner total was over $260 and to be rushed out was horrible. The food was amazing but the service from this 1 individual is not good for business.

What a great way to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. We ordered a plate of wings and fried green tomatoes to share as an appetizer. The wings were very well seasoned and the tomatoes are always on point. Mt mom missed the cornmeal crust but appreciated the flavor and crunch. For mains, Mom ordered the catfish and grits, which she loved that she didn't have to add extra seasoning. My brother had the salmon omlette. He liked the way it ate but wanted more spinach. My sister-in-law had my favorite, chicken and waffles, which she absolutely loved. I chose to go with the chicken and biscuits today. The chicken was so juicy and the flavor of the gravy was delicate enough that it didn't overpower everything else. Thanks again for a wonderful overall experience!

Great service and delicious food. I've never had oysters before and the server recommended the chargrilled oysters. I will be ordering this every time. 10/10!!!

Soirée was a great stop on our recent visit to Kansas City. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. She checked in on us often without intruding. Our party of 4 enjoyed the fried green tomatoes-4 stars, wings-5 stars, Cajun pasta-5 stars, Catfish-5 stars, red beans and rice-4 stars. Drinks were good too! We were also lucky enough to catch live music by OASIS!!!! They were OUTSTANDING!!!

I was really looking forward to this food. Lots of great reviews. And yet.... The chicken and shrimp? Dry cardboard chicken ruined the perfect shrimp and tasty potatoes. The chicken and waffles? Again breaded stringy chalky chicken. I get it it's white meat. You just have to pay a little more attention to them breasts if that's what you serve. Oh and the fruit salad was alcoholic it was so old and spoiled. What a waste of my money.

Great red beans and rice with a filet of crispy catfish. Also the seafood pasta dish was very good, filled with quite the variety of seafood.Parking: Whenever visiting the 18gh and ine area, be prepared to search for parking.

It was a nice environment. Spacious but felt cozy at the same time. I had a shrimp basket that was surprisingly the best bang for your buck. Jumbo shrimp starched fries and even hush puppies. Full bar as well

Quality taco Tuesday outing! The fried catfish tacos were flavorful and filling. The catfish was cooked just right and went well with the toppings and sauce. The side of rice and beans were good but the rice was a little bit underdone for my liking. The chargrilled oysters were tasty and reminded me of New Orleans!Overall a good experience and I'll definitely return to try more!

We had an amazing dinner last night here. R.J. was our waiter and was absolutely on point. We never waited for anything. The grilled oysters were lovely the strip steak like butter. The greens were the best and the fried catfish too. The salad was fresh and tasty with the best dressing. The drinks are a little expensive and understand they add 15% gratuity automatically. You do not get a written receipt so i almost tipped him $78.00 because I did not know until I asked for a printed ticket.

Yelp family, let me begin by saying that some things/places are worth the wait while others, well, I could live without. I will say the 2 stars are for the burgers & fries, just so you know & if pics could be eaten based on looks, these would be delectable. I've heard pretty decent reviews about Soirée since it's opening in 2019. As you can see, I didn't rush to go. An off night? Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know about anyone else, but the dining experience for ME comes with mixed emotions. First off, the gentleman that greeted us was nice enough & welcoming I might add. I'd say we were off to a good start. We arrived for dinner, however 'Happy Hour' was not quite over. There were a few others there & the atmosphere was cozy & chilled...not overcrowded. We were offered a table of our choice for appetizers that we could indulge in or simply wait for the dinner hour. What the heck, we decided to be seated & enjoy Happy Hour & dinner (that's the REAL Foodie in me, aka greedy Greta). We sat a bit when finally our young server/waitress came dragging to our table. A drunk ant would've had more enthusiasm & courtesy than she did. In fact, from hello we felt like we were a bother. There were long spans before our drinks were refilled & if we needed anything it appeared more of a chore than service. Once when I looked for her, she was in a back area eating. Really? Omg! SMH! I know I shared this first before I talked about the meal itself...why? That's how backward my evening felt! Anywho, I was Uber excited to see alligator bites on the menu. My past experiences with these critters have been pleasingly pleasant & deliciously delightful to my palate so I had to try them. I also ordered my other favorite, fried green tomatoes. I could hardly wait to say Grace & sink my choppers into these appetizers. Well y'all as with just about anything else, looks can 'sho nuff' be deceiving. The tizers looked tasty, but they were far from it. Talk about disappointing.... The gator seemed like it was fried last year & lacked flavor...Hallelujah for the dipping sauce that kinda, sorta saved the day (but not really). The batter on the tomatoes didn't quite stick so they fell apart & were a soggy, juicy mess! Geeezzzz...for real? I slid those to the side in hopes of a better dinner. There were a variety of choices...Cheeseburgers, fries, whole catfish, collard greens & corn (where was the cornbread) were the choices for the night. It was a good amount of food & up-front the burgers/fries were THE Best. The catfish wasn't done enough when I stuck the fork into it & the greens were SALTY! Did I say the greens were SALTY? Omg! Who left the top loose? Unbelievable. Couldn't eat those & I guess I should've asked if the corn would be on the cob (my fault). My expectation was it would be in a bowl as the menu didn't specify. Not a big deal except it looked as though it had been gorilla glued to the cob (dry as baking soda) which let me know that it was old when it was shucked. Why in THE WORLD was it served & not tossed? Not good, Soirée. Soooo, suffice it to say when we were asked if we wanted dessert we couldn't wait to say, NO! I guess now and again we all have less than pleasant experiences while dining out...unfortunately it was my turn. Finally, Please consider selecting more suitable music for your customers. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a variety of music & the evening started off well with respectful tunes in the background, however a while later sounds of explicit profanity & extreme degradation of women blared throughout the restaurant. This was offensive & I could hardly believe what I was hearing in a restaurant that seemed to be better than that. As we prepared to leave a musician entered & began setting up for a night of live music. I sure hope the band was better. As I exited the restaurant the front staff was just as friendly as when we entered. I smiled, s

The J*** Chicken was very tasty! I liked the Braised Greens & Red Beans & Rice as well.?

We were really excited to experience this restaurant. We arrived before the crowd at 6pm. We ordered fried green tomatoes and gumbo. The gumbo was cold and in a gel like state, looked more like a brown broth. The fried green tomatoes were tasteless. We were hoping the entrees were better. Unfortunately it took 45 minutes for catfish and seafood pasta to arrive. The catfish wasnt seasoned. Seafood pasta was decent. But not worth 45 minute wait. We will not be returning.

I've been here 3 times and like they say fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, 3x's and you just a fool! While the atmosphere and decor is nice, it does not excuse the sub par quality of the food. My son and I ordered the catfish sandwich expecting a nice sandwich for the upscale cost. It was shocking to get a sandwich the size of a hamburger on the McDonald's $1 menu with a small fry!!! This restaurant actually cut a small catfish fillet in half and put it on a bun! When I asked the see if is was half of a fillet she just nodded. My first experience should have taught me but I've sure learn not to eat here again!

Ambiance: 5 live music started at 6pm Food: 5 Service: 5!!! Thank you for your help Christopher. My party of 1 enjoyed Fried Green Tomatoes, a half order of Chargrilled Oysters, and The Surf and Turf paired with a small arugula based salad decorated with picked purple onion and pineapple. The food was GREAT, traditional Creole Dishes of the South. I did not think I would like the Red Beans but there's an after taste of spice that changed my mind for the better. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!
