We were traveling through and ventured downtown for something to eat. Found a great spot outside for dinner. My wife got a side salad, green beans, and the mac-n-cheese; she found it to be excellent. I got the Chicken Potato, which was good, albeit, not hot at all. Hopefully it was just a minor fault! We’d be willing to try this place once more.

Taco Tuesdays! Mixed and matched at the table. Chicken was tasty, but a bit dry. But the beef/brisket taco was AMAZING. Great fries and beer. Can't wait to return.

I have passed by this place countless times over the years, and it always seemed like a great spot. Finally, I had the opportunity to experience it for myself. Located at the edge of the Power and Light District, near the heart of downtown, it was packed when we arrived. Fortunately, my party had made a reservation. While the food wasn't particularly memorable or anything to shout about, it satisfied our hunger and left a good impression on our guest who was visiting the city. I definitely want to try this place again when it isn't as busy, so the service can be more personalized. Since it's directly in front of a streetcar stop, I have a feeling I'll be making an evening out of it!
My review is for anyone who enjoys bar seating. The bartender, Amber, is always attentive, ready to serve drinks or food. The bar patrons are friendly and welcoming, always eager to strike up a conversation. The food is incredible. Their burgers are a must-try, and my personal favorite is the Mercy Burger. The loaded bake potatoes are massive and my second favorite. If you have any food allergies, the staff is accommodating and will make sure to accommodate your needs. If you’re visiting downtown Kansas City, make sure to stop by this place. Chat with the locals, savor KC-style food, and make your business trip more enjoyable!
