Wow!! Such an incredible date night!! The warm sweet potato rolls were Perfection!! The old fashioned & the Strawberry bellini were delicious!! We ordered the duck & steak! Both grilled perfectly!! The duck had heirloom carrots with hazelnuts. The steak was served with beef fat potatoes! Seriously Delicious!! We took home a piece of the chocolate ganache cake. Can't wait to enjoy it later!! Everyone was so genuinely friendly & welcoming!!! This place is impeccably decorated!! It's Gorgeous!! Beautiful flowers too!! It's a truly a delight for all your senses!! Highly recommend!! Thank you so much for an Outstanding experience!!!

What a beautiful little place I’m so glad it’s here! This is the second time I have come, and this time was for their high tea. We had to reschedule the first one since I was very ill. They were very kind about it, which surprised me since I had to put a deposit on the reservation. When we rescheduled, the hostess asked me if I would like to sit upstairs or downstairs. I wasn’t sure, but I thought upstairs would be fun for a view. When the reservation got closer, there was so much communication from them. I feel like I had multiple phone calls, text messages, etc. asking me to call them back. Seemed over the top to me, so I did leave a message confirming that I would be there and that we were sitting upstairs. When we arrived, the parking was a little confusing; the host told us that if we went and got our license plate number that he could validate it for us then but nothing afterwards. He was pretty businesslike and adamant. When he was going to seat us somewhere near the door, I reminded them that we were supposed to be upstairs. That turned into a bit of a situation eventually got worked out, and they sat us upstairs in a back corner by a curtain. Our server was delightful; the tea was wonderful! The bites to eat were also delicious though the tiered devices they used to serve it on was very wobbly!! My husband is on a keto diet, so that probably wasn’t the best decision for us! Price wound up being $60 per person? I guess you get your $40 deposit back sometime within the next week… They add 20% gratuity to your bill! But overall, we enjoyed the visit.

Tailleur has been a consistent sit for an occasional upscale experience. Their desserts are by far some of the best I have had at a restaurant. Hats off to the bakers for everything I have tried including the carrot cake and macaroons. The duck and filet that my husband and I had last time were excellent. I highly recommend a dinner or high tea experience.

Wow! What a find! Our server was one of the best people ever. Super friendly and highly knowledgeable. Very cozy and intimate place with great food. Get the burger! I know it sounds silly or simple but man, it’s good.

Parking: Restaurant will validate your parking so make sure to have your license plate number in hand.

Overpriced for what we got. When you can see the Shortcuts that were made in each course, not so good. Pate was hard. Soup that was supposed to be creamy came out like pudding… Maybe too much cornstarch? Cake seemed like it was not made there, perhaps ordered from distributor? I want to like this place and I used to. But not so much now.

My dad was in town visiting and said he was craving tomato soup. I always like to show off our KC gems and immediately suggested Tailleur. No reservations were available but there was the option to join the waiting list online. We joined the waiting list and jumped in the car. There were two young girls who walked in next to us. Although they did not have a reservation, nor did they put their names on the waiting list, they were added to the wait list in front of us, told an approximate wait time and were told to go did the street to the martini bar to bide their time. We weren’t offered any of those things just simply told they had no availability and had no clue about an online waitlist. It made no sense why we were treated so poorly.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the food is amazing except beef tartare. I’ve enjoyed trying tartare in different cities in US and Europe and this one was the worst I’ve ever had. I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

EDIT:
While the experience was what it was. The owner Heather very kindly and promptly addressed my concerns and how they are also modifying what they need to to ensure no other guest have the same experience!
She also extended an invitation back to fix and address the concerns brought up initially.

Went for the first time to their tea brunch and the brunch itself and beautiful tea cups are exactly like you would imagine. However the service was awful. We got sat next to the bathroom and rest be sure you will smell, hear and see everything.
When I asked the hostess to please me moved to the very much open table farther down that had just been buzzed she repeated they couldn’t move us because they were too busy and had reservations for every table. I said well can’t you just move us to the other table and the newer patrons can take this one and she proceeding to tell us that wouldn’t be fair as they would then be seated next to the bathroom of which I had just complained smell was coming from.
With your already pre selected $60 per person also expect a 20% immediately added to your bill gratuity but be ready for 1 stop at your table with cold water for your tea and not much else!
Tailleur was a family favorite 2 years ago but since something had definitely changed and it shows

After great experiences at their cocktail bar and bakery, we had high expectations - and they were met! The food was exceptional - grilled radicchio, confit potatoes, sweet potato rolls, and salmon, all so good! The staff was great with several checking in with us throughout the evening. We loved the decor and overall vibe. We'll be back!

Giving this restaurant an honest review not basing it off of how beautiful it is.

Wait time before being greeted by server was 10-15 minutes. Disappointing to have expressed through the reservation and confirmation call that we had a special 3 way birthday celebration yet there was no mention of it or anything special prepared.

Tea time brunch with a $60 per person charge. It took 30 minutes for this stack of premade goods to be served to us. We only had 1 check point from our server during that time. I considered this overpriced.

I urge you to request to not be seated next to the bathroom because their curtain does not cover the door leaving the sounds, view and smells be part of your experience. We requested a change of table since it was a special celebration we had booked well in advance, the host said she couldn’t do that since it would leave another guest sat next to the bathroom. Meaning: it was fine for us to be? Very confusing.

The tea time special is unique and fun but the service doesn’t live up to it. I wouldn’t pay 260 again for 3 people with only 1 drink each.

Tailleur is our favorite restaurant and we enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere more and more every time we go. They changed up the menu and we have new favorites now - the duck and frites is amazing. Perfectly cooked and tasty. We love going back! Desserts are always impeccable. To note: parking behind the restaurant is now paid, but they’ll validate it for you.
