Such a lovely experience from start to finish. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous the moment you walk in. We were seated upstairs in the coziest little nook of a table overlooking the first floor. Every host, every manager, and every server we encountered was so warm and welcoming.I had a shrimp pasta dish which was excellent but I think the real star of the show was the duck that my husband ordered which was cooked to perfection and so tender it could rival a filet mignon. We finished our meal with a strawberry rhubarb fruit tart which was absolutely divine. It’s not very often we finish a meal and say, “That was worth every penny” but it’s true —the food, service, and atmosphere were all spectacular and we can’t wait to come back. Well done!

The food and service were great! What was not great was the eye roll from the hostess when she asked to open the blinds behind us and she asked if we minded and I said yes, actually I prefer the dim light. I mentioned this to the sever who said well that’s the owner soIf that’s the owner… yikes. Not a great impression to give your clients an eye roll and certainly not great manners. After this, the server brought us our check and said he had another table waiting for us to finish…Again, food was great but there are better places in KC where the ‘owner’ won’t roll her eyes and the server won’t rush you out the door..Good luck , I would be surprised to see this place in business for more much longer.

Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. Our party of four was told we could wait on the heated patio and get drinks until our table was ready. So we took the offer to wait on the patio. But while others were offered heaters, which didn’t even work, we were increasingly cold and getting limited service and no one was checking on us.The second time we went inside ourselves to check if our table was ready — 30 minutes after our reservation — we were told the empty table for four at the front was one we couldn’t have because they “would need to close our current check and switch our server.” I pushed back and said we would like to be seated immediately in the available table because it had been 30 minutes and we were cold — and at that point no one else was waiting in the entry, so it was clear there weren’t people ahead of us.They immediately seated us at the empty table. The managers offered up apologies but didn’t offer us any comps to offset the tardiness, which left a bad taste in my mouth. Food was fine, but not worth the poor service especially for a $200+ bill. We won’t go again.

Today was quit nice at Tailleur's. I wrote a review a year ago that was not very flattering and rated this 1 star. I always give restaurants a second and sometimes third chance. I am so glad that I did. The atmosphere has always been very nice, the service was tip top, this guy didn't miss a beat. The steak tartare was of high quality meat, adorned with capers, raw egg yolk with crunchy crostini and slender sliced of onion strings. Just delightful. The pot pie is rather a new dish to the menu, my friend enjoyed it. I had the Salmon Nicoise. Salmon was perfectly prepared medium and the salad is very hardy with green beans, avocado, hard boiled egg, a sweet sauce on the lettuce, I did however miss the potatoes not being part of the salad. I believe it had a bit of couscous also. Overall, a very lovely day. We also walked over to their bakery which was just as nice. And then onto the Cheval Bar. The construction has to be frustrating for all the businesses there. I WILL start frequenting the restaurant again.

Went for the first time and it was incredible! Such great service that we couldn’t stop saying “wowwww ?” the entire night. The ambiance is so cozy and the food was amazing! My boyfriend and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Very few places hit the mark in every category, but Tailleur knows what they’re doing! We can’t wait to return in the spring to sit on the cutesy patio!

So beautiful, secretly tucked away on Main at Westport. Service, food, and home-crafted drinks are all phenomenal! Put this place on your bucket list, and you'll soon become a regular.

This little hidden gem in the heart of midtown feels like a charming little European bistro you might be lucky enough to find in a much bigger city, yet with the welcoming warmth of our own home town. The food's excellent, service attentive, and atmosphere, as already gushed over, cozy!Oh, and the desserts...to die for, presented beautifully in their own glass display case and brought fresh from the sister bakery right across the street, Enchante! And don't be discouraged about the streetcar construction in front, just pop around the corner to the back where there's plenty of parking and a convenient back entrance right off Walnut Street, (next block east of Main).

We’ve been about 5 times, perfect every time. Love the recommended wine pairings. Cocktail menu may be small, but it has a Negroni on it, what else could you possibly need? Besides the amazing wine list? Mussels are divine, salmon is delectable, lamb rack and shank delicious. Love the sides, also. Servers are always kind and informative. Dessert case is irresistible, even though the entrees will definitely fill you up! Salads are great also, the kitchen even split one at no charge for two of us. Gnocchi and risotto also flawless (we came in as groups of 4, so I’ve had most of the menu). If they didn’t have your preferred cocktails, head across the street after your perfect mealfor a post dinner drink, cute bar there also.Parking: Park in back of the building in the giant lot or on the street, and enter through back door, walk up to host stand at the front.
