Taqueria La Nueva- Westport

I had a wonderful time at La Taqueria Nueva. It was exactly what you want your Mexican food to be. The atmosphere and service were lovely, and I highly recommend the quesabirria tacos. In a place dominated by white people tacos, this restaurant is a refreshing change of pace. ❤️

5 stars across the board for (real) Mexican in KC. I am blown away by this place (and I’m from California). Folks not familiar with a place like this may need to learn to utilize the salsa/toppings bar to make your food to your own comfort level (of spice/toppings). Meat is incredible - tortillas have me in aw. Go in, order some stuff, throw your toppings on top from the bar, eat to your delight.

Friendly staff, quick service and good food. I only recommend that the women’s restroom be updated. Horrible sewer smell and floor needs cleaning

The food is delicious, but I ordered guac and chips and it was not with my order. Double check before you leave the restaurant when picking up, there is no working phone to ask for a refund.

I got the Taco salad, loaded nachos and the pineapple aqua fresca. So delicious . Large portion sizes. The food is fresh. The ingredients are fresh. Love the open bar where you can get your own toppings and salsas. Customer service is wonderful

Super cute little spot, being from New Mexico I felt this was equivalent to some of our little divey taquerias, authentic and delicious 😋
