Not only the best tea in town but the most helpful teachers. Whether it’s tasty tea for your self or a good health boost, this is the place. Recently I was putting a gift basket together for a friend with health issues and they made perfect selections of tea and tea accessories to delight my friend. I always leave tea happy. It’s a good thing!

I enjoy their service and quality of product. We worked together to make a custom blend for my business and that was super fun and amazingly tasty. Thank you!

Was there about 30 min before closing, 3 -4 other people came in. Store is fairly small very cute, One salesperson, all the tea canisters and samples to smell are on one side of the store, so if someone was smelling a tea to get an idea if they liked it, they might be in the way of the salesperson getting tea for a customer, she seemed a little flustered and even though we bought $99+ worth of tea we felt somewhat rushed. She was very kind and answered questions,, but you could feel the tension. Parking is on the street and very tight. It was a special game weekend for the Royals, so a lot of people were in town. Otherwise I'd give it a 5

I order by mail and love their tea and the fact that I can read about each tea benefits on their website.

Some businesses have good products but the energy and the service is terrible. Tea Market has great products, positive energy and very good customer service.

Owner Delays Tea Party

I walked in one morning with my two little princesses to prepare for a tea party. I discovered in my rush to get two toddlers out of the house I had forgotten my credit card. The first sales associate was polite and accommodating. She let me know that they accepted Apple Pay. My girls and I sniffed and a tasted a few samples. As the only customer in the store, I stood in a corner on my phone for a few mins configuring Apple Pay on my phone when another woman, with the posture of the owner approached us. With the warmth of a hissing cobra and apparent annoyance she asked if we were going to buy anything. I explained I was trying to setup Apple Pay, which I finished seconds after we were rudely approached. I immediately left and thank them, as I departed.

Love all my teas! Bought my sister a gift for her birthday, and they wrapped it for me! They also have lots of info if you're new to tea and will help guide you on finding the perfect blend!

I came in for some tea. I was told that 2 oz was the least I could buy of each tea despite the fact that their website offers 1 oz packs and the pricing in store is by the oz. I was hoping for some hojicha but the lady there said it was Japanese twig tea in an incredulous tone. The perception that hojicha is "inferior tea" because it is made from twigs is a common misconception. In reality, hojicha is a unique and valued type of Japanese green tea with its own distinct qualities. And ironically , those British teas in stock are literally the result of Europeans being incapable of storing and transporting tea. The prices were high for the quality . I get the whole gentrified shop thing it's not my cup of tea unfortunately. I wouldn't have gotten anything if it wasnt a quick gift. I was hoping for a place that was forthcoming and personable and the ambiance was akin to a DMV. I will continue to get quality tea from Yunnan sourcing. It is very disappointing that this is what the kc area has to offer.

I have been buying from The Tea Market for years, I love their black teas and matcha, and everything else I have tried. My favorite tea shop for sure! ?

I've followed them forever on Facebook and finally made it to the shop. Ruth was so above and beyond...showing me all around, making me feel welcome and taught me SO much! Wow...this tea is AMAZING...night and day different from what you buy off a grocery store shelf. Packed with flavor!
I cant wait to go back!!! Thank you Ruth!!!

I discovered this charming tea shop on one of my frequent visits to Kansas City to see my daughter and her family. It has such a great selection and I always enjoy trying their sample of the day tea.
