Great food and great service! I'm in town on business and had pulled up The Outpost on Google from the high ratings. On my way out of the hotel I asked the front desk for a recommendation and The Outpost was said to have great food. So I have it a whirl. I had the loaded nachos which were amazing and the bartenders recommendation, which was the spicy Cajun chicken wrap and waffle fries which was also very good! If I'm back in KC again I'd definitely return.
I mainly come here to hang out with a bunch of my friends while seeing a band that has a couple more friends in it (Viking). I tend to get there a couple hours before showtime to get a decent table and have dinner. I highly recommend the Cowboy Burrito! It's huge and very tasty! The main issue I have with this place is that they only have two bartenders serving everyone so service can be very slow and sometimes forgetful when it's packed. The Outpost obviously needs to hire two or more servers just to handle so many customers especially on a show night. Hopefully that will happen soon.
Meagan is awesome and very patient with our group! Strong drinks, good prices, silent auction! Local bar, local people, a good time!
Cool little place to eat good burgers great vibes
I generally like The Outpost bar and grill. But this time was the worst I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and a kid's chicken strip with fries. My onion rings were burnt my French fries were made out of a rotten potato my bread was soggy. I arrived in the 15 minutes they asked me to as I sit and watch my food in the window that set for 20 minutes because the girls were busy I finally inquired only to get a snotty comment from the taller lady working. All she did was complain to the other server on how she couldn't wait on people well my suggestion is find another job there's plenty of help wanted signs out here. I understand how overwhelmed serving can be I did it for over 20 years. The only good part about the meal were the chicken strips and they were for my two pitbulls. They enjoyed them for $22 and some change it all went to the trash. Sure wasn't worth it I know my dogs enjoyed their chicken strips. I will no longer go back there with the taller woman working she is very snotty. I'm there for a service and to pay for a good meal and did not get that in return. Wish the owners of One-Eyed jacks would open One-Eyed jacks again everybody was welcome whether you were on a motorcycle bicycle scooter so sad
Friendly & fast service. My wife & I will be back
The service was fast and outstanding. The fish and chips were tasty. They even changed the channel so we could watch the KU game
Love going here when my favorite band HEADZ UP is playing..Best kept secret..their food is great! Rustic decor adds to the relaxed atmosphere! Come out and have fun!!
A group of 12 of us from Salina, KS came in Monday night to celebrate my birthday. We were well taken care of and the food was great! We’ll definitely recommend it to others! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming!
Very good food and lots of if. Our waitress was very friendly and earned herself a very nice tip. If I lived there I would be a regular customer.

First we tried several times by phone to place an order and no one ever answered the phone. I went in and placed an order, and bartender acted like we were bothering her for wanting to place an order. Walked off and didn't come back until the order was ready, was too busy vaping, which I thought was not allowed inside KC limits. Appetizers were cold by the time we received our order, food was sub-par. First and last time we visit this location.
Could be a 5 star, stellar environment. They need help and communication! Food is great, service sucks. Sit at the bar if you go!
Great environment! Food was exceptional,...service could use some help but overall a great place to chill. Live band was great also.
Food is great, unique atmosphere, a bit slow but with the times I can't complain.
This was one of my favorite places when I stayed at the hotel down the street. Super easy to get to only 4 minutes away. It looked a little sketchy at first but I think that's just because it's on a plaza type setting. Good bartenders and the food will surprise you. I ate there multiple times in a week and I had no complaint about it! In fact most things I had were better than I expected from this bar and grill!
