The Wise Guy has officially become our downtown KC go-to! 🍕✨ The pizzas are downright addictive, the happy hour is spot-on, and the vibe is always lively. We’re consistently impressed by every single member of the team — from the hosts to the bartenders, servers, and owners — their warmth and hospitality shine every time. Just last night, we brought in a large group, and they went above and beyond to create the most magical evening for all of us. Bonus: it’s located right on the KC Streetcar line, which makes getting there a total breeze! 🚋🙌

I went there on a Sunday night. It had a wonderful ambiance—it felt like an old Italian restaurant meets a sports bar. Lots of people were there to watch football. The food was good, but not 100% my taste. Everything tended to be sweeter than I prefer. Like other reviewers, I did find the chicken parm to be overcooked. Overall, it tasted good, but some issues. Mozzarella sticks were good, but I did not prefer the sauces. Pizza was pretty good, but also overcooked. Nice server and overall cool restaurant. I would hope they can work on some of the food consistency issues, and it would be a lot better.

Wow! I cannot wait to get back to The Wise Guy!! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy, friendly, and lively. We didn't have a reservation, but we were sat within 20 minutes at the bar. The best bartender took great care of us, and gave the 4 of us a free shot for my birthday 🎂 Will definitely be back!!!!

Rigatoni alla vodka was perfectly spiced, and paired well with a bold, fruity red wine. Nice little water glasses at the table. Pleasant atmosphere even if a little dark, and a convenient location between Crown Center area and downtown.

My daughter and I stumbled upon The Wise Guy while waiting for our train and we’re so glad we did! It was a busy Saturday night near the Westin, but even without a reservation, the staff did a great job fitting us in. The atmosphere was lively—perfect for dining and catching a game. We had mozzarella sticks and spaghetti, both were excellent. Big shoutout to Ryan for being so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
