I ordered their Lechon chicharon aka Lechon Kawali and what I got is just small slices of pork being fried and they’re not even crispy. Their food is way too salty. This is my second time ordering and the first time was a total rip off. I’m a Pinoy so it would have been nice if the Pinoy foods they show in their picture is actually what they serve when you order. Plus, it’s overpriced. I will stick to Manila Bay Ihaw Ihaw. This restaurant is very disappointing! If you’re visiting KC and would want to try Filipino food, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

What a great place. The food reminded me of my Mom's cooking, it was a very welcome change for me. I went with my family and we all ordered something different. Being the big brother and uncle I was able to clean the leftovers and I sampled everything. All of the food was great. I will definitely be going back. I really wanted to tell the folks working that day, thank you for entertaining my Dad. He wanted to tell you how good the food was and just share his thoughts, they were both kind enough to chat with him. We will see you again, thank you!

As a Filipina that misses her mom's cooking, this place was spot on! The staff was so friendly and inviting. The chicken adobo was amazing! The lumpia was perfect. My daughter had the spamsilog and it was like breakfast when I was a kid. We were all so pleased and will definitely be back!

Amazing place and the food is worth every penny! That pork adobo and the sotanghon soup was really delicious! If you're on the fence, they have an amazing value menu to try something new before you go all out!

Carlos, the proprietor was a joy, his smile was infectious. As soon as you come in to the shop you are greeted by a lovely picture of Carlos and his wife, as well as a wonderful Mural depicting the 2. The Food is simple yet utterly packed to the brim with flavor, as well as affordable priced. Carlos was super charming and funny and provides excellent service in his establishment.

I have been to the philippines twice and even though I am not a big rice eater (Sorry Ting), but I get cravings for food from my time there. Tings Filipino Bistro City Market helps to get over those cravings by offering a variety of options to choose from that are all very tasty. I have enjoyed every plate dished up, and recommend them to all my friends.

I saw a ? roach after I ordered and was eating my food a roach was crawling on the wall by the outlet. The food was dry and taste old and reheated serval times. The adobo beef was so dry and hard as a rock and so was the rice this place is serving days old food and reheating the food. It’s terrible nasty food I didn’t say anything but I had to stop eating the dry food after I saw the roach. This place must be doing bad to have old food in the first place. I will not be back. They won’t be in the river market for long with this nasty dry food serving the public with roaches and high prices.

Never had filipino food?
Then you're missing out! You'll fall in love quick!

PROs: Great location! Friendly and down to earth family. Loving the old school music & relaxed vibe. The food is great!
CONs: It's right in the middle of the market so parking may be an issue for some folks.

On this visit we had an empanada and Turon. We'll be back for Halo Halo!

This restaurant is no longer open and has not updated this information on the internet.

I've been craving Lumpia and kept hoping this restaurant would reopen. It finally did!!

I ordered the Lumpia and Chicken Pancit.
Lumpia is a Filipino staple that should be crispy and chock full of veggies and ground meat. These were soggy and full of some sort of paste. Horrible.
The Pancit was tasty but mostly rice noodles and barely any veggies or protein.

Don't bother with this place. A Filipino Mom could cook all of this 1000% better!

If I'm going to pay 9.00 dollars for a Halo Halo, please put the ingredients and not substitute because it's the end of the day.

Showed up on Friday at 4:10 pm and they were closed. Sign said 5:00 pm close time. Employees were inside ignoring everyone and they would not answer the phone. Not sure what good I can say when a business does this.
