Just to warn you, this is an on campus coffee shop so if you are okay with the college student atmosphere then you will likely love this place. Good coffee (one of the best in the northland) and very kind service from my experience. Seating can be difficult to find on certain days at certain times because students are often using them. Definitely worth a try to see if you like the vibe.
I got to visit this coffee shop today and as a public (non-student) visitor, I had a great time.A couple of tips:There is limited parking at the Student Center where the coffee shop is located. I parked at the chapel and walked up a short hill to get to the entrance. I love the Tomlinson Cafe! Their coffee is consistent, their staff is friendly and always willing to help, and the environment of the shop is great! Given that this is on a college/seminary campus, the shop strikes a great balance of both being open during standard "coffee shop" hours, while also matching the rhythms of the campus (closing for chapel, holidays, etc.).
