Elise at Toms Town was amazing. She gave a great tour and the tasting with her was so fun. She has us addicted to the double oak Bourbon!If you do not drink bourbon, you can still enjoy the tour. Loved looking around and enjoyed the video of all the history that this distillery has. The food was an added bonus!

After my first review, I was encouraged that the business owner replied stating the issue I raised (bartender slamming everything, quite literally resulting in a panic attack) would be immediately addressed. So I gave this place another try, albeit on my own. This was my first visit where they were not out of anything I ordered, so there is that. The food was satisfying. I tried the gimlet from the menu. I have had many cocktails at many high quality bars, and of course some are better than others. This was one of the few I've ordered from anywhere that was undrinkable. While it is a play on a gimlet, it should not have had "gimlet" in its name. I chatted with a friendly bartender and commented on my previous experience. He immediately knew who I was talking about, regarding the "slam down everything" bartender, and said he still does that, but he's good at what he does. I did not seek clarification on what makes him good. So it sounds that despite the owner's assurance, nothing has changed. To the bartender in question, I do not know your name and would not use it here if I did. But I wanted to let you know, speaking as a customer, you are not good at what you do. You might be skilled at some aspects of bartending, but causing medical issues for guests and driving away business is not indicative of a good bartender.

Cocktail College was a great experience, fun professor, and homework I will actually enjoy.Cocktails (and food) in the Tasting Room range are almost always excellent even if they're not our favorite flavor profiles.Staff are friendly and helpful

Cocktails, apps and environment are all great! Social setting is a vibe. Parking gets filled quick, be prepared to park and walk. Make reservations ahead of time if you’re planning to arrive later in the evening.

I made a reservation for the Garden Party as a date night, not quite knowing what to expect as it would be our first visit to Tom's. To our absolute surprise, it ended up being the highlight of our weekend. The Garden Party themed tasting room was a whimsical, classy, intimate setting where it was easy to hear across the table without any issue. Our server was incredibly professional and made the best drink recommendations better than any we'd had elsewhere in the city. We can't wait to revisit later this year to check out the new themes. Don't think twice about going, you've found your next date night.

We had the best birthday celebration. The tour was fabulous, food delicious, drinks outstanding and the service and ambience can’t be beat!!

We booked a tour and had a spirit tasting followed by dinner in the restaurant. The tour and guide was great...informative and interesting history. We really enjoyed the tasting in the beautiful tasting room and made purchases. For dinner we ordered a variety of appetizers and none of them disappointed. Definitely would recommend.
Overcharged for a drink, so that wasn't great. Emailed asking for a refund on that. Service was pretty slow to be honest, although really friendly when we had it. There was a party of 8, at one point 20/25 mins at went between anyone coming and asking if we wanted any more drinks (we did). Drinks were super nice though. Would have also liked a heads up that 20% tip would be added on our bill automatically, 8 basically tipped twice because I was not told about this when handed the pay machine. So double tipped for slow service.

Outstanding first experience here. Immediately loved the atmosphere which I could see being even better at night. We snacked on some fries during our long wait at a nearby restaurant. They were tasty and the rest of the food on the menu looks great so I can't wait to try more.Cocktail was AMAZING. I got one that was bourbon based and it had ingredients I haven't had with that before and it seems like they really know what they're doing (my wife loved hers as well). Friendly attentive staff on top of everything and I imagine we'll be back soon.

I cannot say enough good things about Tom’s Town! Definitely the best drinks in Kansas City. Perfect for an intimate night out. If you are visiting KC, you absolutely HAVE to go here! The downstairs speakeasy style themed bar is (in my opinion) the best place to sit in Tom’s Town, but make a reservation!!! It’s so cute and they do themes so well! This place will always be a staple to my husband and I! They don’t make a bad drink, but Angry Goat is the GOAT? (if you like a little spice in your drinks)

It was not busy when we walked in and I am not sure why, because this place is great! Our server was very nice and consistently came to check in on us. I ordered the drowned rabbit to drink and it was so refreshing and crisp! The mint and lime really shined through. We also tried the rosemary fries and they were a great snack! They come with a garlic aioli that tasted like they made it fresh in house! I can't wait to come back here and try more drinks and food!
