Charged me $18 for a Long Island in a plastic cup, with no cola in it. The table with the view was not cleared of previous customers’ empty cups. Overcrowded, too small. No thought given to interior design, ugly. Avoid this place, get a drink on the plane instead.
This place was awful. Dirty floors and avery limited menu. The food was served on a paper plate with plastic silverware and my drink in a clear Solo cup. This corner of MCI is like a prison and this restaurant did nothing to improve the experience.
Obscure ordering system, rude bartender. I don’t mind the stairs and no restroom but be aware if that bothers you. Couldn’t tell if my order went through or not and the bartender certainly didn’t want to talk. Please don’t support this establishment so it goes away
Life is always beautiful when you have good health. For almost 5 year had Rheumatoid arthritis and I was lonely and sad luckily I was directed to a very kind and Great Dr Oso who helped me cure my Rheumatoid arthritis and today I am free from Rheumatoid arthritis and very healthy thank you so much Dr Oso Email him via: [email protected] or
Walked in and was greeted. Asked what I'd like and ordered a beer. Server/bartender REALKY should have mentioned they have no cooks and therefore no hot food. I skipped breakfast and, since I had been here in the past, expected to eat prior to my flight. So, now I get to wait 5 hours longer for a hot meal.
Its a skelaton menu with very few options that are expensive for whar you get but my pork bbq chiabatta was delicious. My husbands pepperoni chiabatta is not worth ordering.
Grill? No cook available so... only cold options. This is the exact fare you buy at the newsstand. A $12 "Italian" sandwich (2 slices ham, 2 slices salami, 4 slices pepperoni) and small bag of chips. Don't bother unless your looking for a preflight beverage. Servers were stressed but curt and unapologetic about lack of menu. Not clean. Swept table onto the floor/seats and left the table sopping wet. Obviously this is an airport location so there's no value relationship to spending beyond travel convenience but the prices here were particularly disparate $$$ ($5.49 for 10 oz OJ). Skip it.My worst airport dining experience to date!
This restaurant is expensive and has horrible food. I spent $17 for a flatbread cheese pizza that arrived stacked on a tiny foam plate so the cheese on the bottom half of the flatbread stuck to the half stacked on top. All food seems to highly processed and microwaved. There are only about 5 options to choose from too. You have to go upstairs to enter and the elevator wasn’t working. If at all possible eat before getting to airport or pick pre-made sandwich from smaller self serve food stand.
The only good thing about it is you can order from your phone. It’s like they just gave up on the airport amenities. They call this a restaurant but it’s barely a bar. One appetizer options. Two sandwiches and three flatbread options for food. I thought it was covid or supply chain issues but it’s not. Just poorly managed and waiting for the new airport to open in six months. Do better.
Easy food spot while waiting for your boarding time. They do get busy so be ready for a short wait time

The only reason the Top of the Crown Grill gets as high as 3-stars is the bartender. I forgot to catch his name, but he was fantastic. The stairs to even walk up to the bar are a disaster. Once there and inside, the decor is terrible. The place looks like an old grungy diner from decades past. Again- that said the bartender was great and the wife loved his Bloody Mary.
This is the first review I’ve ever left. They forgot to put my food in, waited 49 extra minutes. When it finally arrived it was undercooked & the chef in the back was staring at me the whole time as if he was offended that I asked where my food was. All in all I’d say just get food before you hit the airport when in Kansas City.
Very small, everyone sits there even when they haven’t ordered. Generally everyone at airports is either rude or has zero situational awareness, but this grill is just depressing. Fits right in with KCI.
No food option but 2 prepackaged sandwiches..no cook..no items for a mimosa..this is second time this year I have had a awful experience here with little to no food options for traveling clients..someone needs to take this place over and do something with it. Suprised the royals allow their name plastered in such a poor establishment
Just awful. Out of everything I asked for, can't sell sides only, never fails to disappoint. Just part of what makes this the worst airport in the United States.
