For any Kansas City native, Topsy's is staple. Every family has had a tin of Topsy's at some point or another. In previous years, the popcorn was rich and flavorful. I remember licking the cheddar from my fingertips! While Topsy's is still good, it doesn't taste as great as before. They, like a lot of companies, seem to have sacrificed the recipe for the profit. The flavor is less rich. It tastes closer to plain than it did before. It's as if the machine didn't get a chance to cover each piece thoroughly. As far as the service goes, it was meh. The employee was not super friendly, but that's fine I guess. I also had issue with a couple of the items not having the price marked. I bought a peanut blend and almond (I think) blend and had no idea that despite the bags being smaller, they more a higher price. One thing I do love though is how packed the store feels with items. I love being surrounded by all of the treats. It instantly puts you in a good mood! I didn't have a chance to try the limeade again, but I hope they're still as delicious as before!

Great flavor but as we got to the bottom of our cheese corn, there were way too many seeds and kernels. This is NOT movie theater popcorn but supposedly premium stuff! We also got a bag of the Red Hot flavored popcorn. Fun! This space is teeny and there was only one worker. He was friendly but after we left, six teens arrived and I could see him easily getting overwhelmed. I hadn't had Topsy's in many years and realized that there are supermarket premium brands (Palo Popcorn, for example) that can compete with Topsy's now. So maybe Topsy's doesn't need to be a stop anymore when I visit KC.

Horrible customer experience, if the color of my skin and or my looks could speak ? that was my experience today. If I hate I have to talk or answer a question ? what be what today was! I will not be back at this Topsy. Oh was not given a receipt either?

I had heard great things about Topsy's popcorn over the years, so this year I decided to purchase one as a gift. Ordered a 2-gallon cinnamon/caramel tin. While the flavor is great, the quality is terrible! I have never had so many kernels in ANY pre popped popcorn I have purchased over the years! We have to be so careful when eating it so we won't break a tooth! Yeah, it's that bad! Sorry to say this will be my first and last purchase, and certainly can't recommend to anyone. I would seriously consider other companies before purchasing popcorn from Topsy's.

This is a wonderful tiny picturesque store. The staff member was so jolly and talking about how she loves working there, and how the Topsy’s owner is so kind and generous because he pre-paid everybody through the pandemic just so they wouldn’t worry. Even if they hadn’t already been scheduled to work. This is essential Christmas shopping — especially on huge clearance sale!

Topsy's in the past was always pretty good. A bag of mixed cheese and caramel purchased a few days ago was so full of hulls that constantly needed to be spit out that it made the experience of eating it completely unenjoyable. For fear of cracking a crown or possibly a tooth, the rest went in the trash. Thought the first handful of so with so many hulls was just a fluke, but continued to bite down on inedible hard bits more bites than not. After two cups or so, I gave up. Waste of money. Glad I didn't buy a huge can like my daughter did for her family. Flavor is good, but I won't buy popcorn from topsy's again.

My husband and I always look forward to stopping by this particular location to pick out a new tin and pick up refills for the tins at home. He picked out the tin you see with this review.The tin has cheese popcorn in it.(What can I say he is my mouse. He loves his cheese popcorn.) This round, I picked up a refill for cinnamon popcorn tin I have at home( I am a bit of a hot head.)The cinnamon popcorn is one of the best Topsy's makes. Before you pop your top, stop by Topsy's for your popcorn stash!

Never getting ice cream here ever again. I found a piece of plastic in my ice cream and went into my mouth. And the lady didn't put on gloves while scooping the ice cream. I didn't feel like the shop was very clean. Very disappointed.

I go to the Brookside location for my butter popcorn or Baskin Robins Ice Cream. Yum I have been going to Topsy's since Tex was the owner on the Plaza.

Topsys Popcorn isn’t anything like it was. I got cheese and caramel, medium bags, $5 a bag. Lots of kernels and chewy. Not what I remember. Sad
