We were in a private room for a birthday open house. It was set up really well, access to outside, one dedicated bartender who worked his butt off. However, there were no bathrooms nearby and the beer selection was limited. You had to create a new tab at the main bar if you wanted more than the two beers on tap which is difficult to do in two places when the bartender has to hang on to your card. The food was awesome. That's what surprised me. I haven't been here in a while and the food was never memorable. It was this time. Super delicious and the bartender brought it right to us still warm. Aside from the bathroom and lack of beer options, it would just be great if when pouring beer you didn't put the nozzle inside the beer. There are better ways to pour beer and limit head.

I got the sliders and fries and they were so delicious! Everything was packed with flavor and the service was quick and friendly. We’re from out of town but if I lived in KC I would come here for lunch all the time. If you’re from out of town defiantly give this tavern a shot!

great bar experience but i've ordered togo like 5x in the past few weeks. i'm new to the neighborhood and now i'm hooked on their food. i've been helped by 4-5 different bartenders and each one is SO nice and helpful. great local spot, very warm and friendly atmosphere with fresh tasty food!

Terrific place. Our family showed up late on Christmas Eve after spending 2 days in the ICU with a family member. We were hungry and mentally and emotionally exhausted! The kitchen was closed but the bartender, Erica, was so kind in greeting us and offering to ask the owner to accommodate our large family. The owner personally greeted us and offered to open the kitchen to feed us even though he was enjoying the evening with his staff and friends. It was so kind and we were so thankful! Unfortunately we got called back to the ICU ASAP but they put everything in to-go boxes for us. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are back in KC. I'd recommend you do as well!
The wings here have good flavor but they look like they're off miniature chickens. Like I'm not sure how small the chickens must be when they're butchered to provide wings so small. Other than that it's an okay place if you're nearby

The charred chicken wings are fantastic. Fish Fridays are always delicious but our favorites are the goat cheese salad and the spinach dip. So many fantastic beers on draught and if you want to watch sports and KU, The Royals or The Chiefs in particular, then Towers is your place!
