Matthew took great care of watching out for food allergies and offering suggestions on meals. The Edame Guacamole dip on gluten-free pita bread a grwat starter. Steak salad was tasty and rare just right with meat on the tough side which was surprising as it looked perfect. The pot roast dip sandwich was very good. A great date night was had. Thank you.Vegetarian options: Several choices we'll marked and your server will be happy to point you to good options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten, pork, almonds, mango, dairy and chocolate. Still plenty to choose from or options to make a dish safe for you.Parking: Street parking full and was able to park in free parking garage right next door. Plenty of lighting and felt safe.

We have been to True Food Kitchen several times before, and enjoyed it each and every time ... right up to where we took advantage of their "Special Invitation" to pay $35/person for the unique opportunity to sample their Spring Menu. Other than a couple of interesting dishes, there was NOTHING about the event that would lead me to tolerate another try. The service was - essentially - non-existent. The pacing was ... simply not done ... and the attitude of the staff was "sorry 'bout that". The pre-paid fee included (this is my surprised face!) a "gratuity" (is it REALLY a "gratuity" if it's a forced, imposed, no-customer-input-permitted charge) and, candidly, the "service" we received made it pretty clear that the order-taker, and infrequent food bringer, knew that he was already taken care of, so why bother. A manager-looking person made table calls at all of the tables around us ... but (even though BOTH of us had showered and worn clean clothes) seemed to see no reason to visit with us. I can think of absolutely no reason to givee him another chance to do so anytime soon.

For healthy food, they have a lot of options. Service was great and the atmosphere was almost like a modern cafeteria.

The food is good here and the price a tiny bit higher but worth it for fresh whole food. The service is generally wonderful. Today was the first time I have been here when it was busy. This made it very loud all over, combined with the music they had playing. Difficult for people with hearing issues or hearing aids (too loud). Other than the noise level, the atmosphere is very pleasant with lots of windows and color.

We LOVE it here. My wife is celiac and they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure she's safe. The portion sizes are perfect. The food is incredible; and the kids even love it too. We visit from out of town a couple times a year and always make sure to stop here for a nice meal! HIGHLY recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the smoked gouda turkey burger with a side salad and both were delicious. The burger had a wonderful mustard sauce. We got there about 11:30 on a Thursday and had no trouble getting a table. By noon the restaurant was filling up. Our server was very attentive and helpful with the menu. All items had their calorie count.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Kansas city. I've never seen such a wide range of unique ways to pair different ingredients together. Also, if you miss Coal Vines pizza, theirs is just like it. If you're a cocktail snob, this is defiantly a place for you!

This is the best and safest place to eat if you have food allergies. The food is healthy and delicious. They don't get huffy if you have a food allergy. The servers are careful to take notes and the kitchen pays attention. They repeat the information as they serve the food so you know they got the message. I really appreciate having a place where I can eat safely and enjoy the food!

Stumbled upon this location while walking around and seemed pretty promising. The menu had a lot of interesting options and everything was fresh and seemed to be sourced properly. The service and ambiance was fine overall, nothing special or overly unique about it. The food was good, albeit pricey for what you get, I did leave hungry. The location does not have modern payment technologies rather than the rudimental method of sending an SMS with a link for you to access to pay if you do not have your physical card with you. This is a trend I’ve found in most of the midwest sans Chicago. This location is worth a visit if you are in the area, just bring cash and don’t expect any modern use of secure technology.
